Go ahead, ElCuchillo and jackknife, give in! Me, I'm stickin' with my peanut and only my peanut! :grumpy: You guys are soft!![]()
You know, in the internal martial arts, the soft always overcomes the hard!! And what can stop a tsunami? Water is the softest substance on earth, yet get it going and nothing can stop it. Softness rules!!

Seriously, though, I also have found what I needed. A multitool is my EDC of choice, by necessity. Call it youth (I'm only 35), or a sign of the times, but between work and leisure, I find myself using/needing a multitool almost everyday. When I was only carrying the Peanut, I was constantly going over to the tool box. I refuse to use my blade as a can opener, or screwdriver, or prybar, or scraper. That's not what it's meant for. Sure, I CAN use it for that, and have learned how to do it "safely", but why abuse my beloved cutting edge? When I carry my multitool, I just reach for that, and it's all good. I have found that with a minimalist multitool like my Leatherman Sideclip (My Blast broke on me), and either a CV Soddie Jr., or my Peanut, I am well prepared for just about anything. Whatever I don't have on me I can improvise on.
Pocket knife for cutting, multitool for everything else.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

But take it as far as you can, mnblade. Go for it.
