Case CV Peanut

Go ahead, ElCuchillo and jackknife, give in! Me, I'm stickin' with my peanut and only my peanut! :grumpy: You guys are soft! ;)

You know, in the internal martial arts, the soft always overcomes the hard!! And what can stop a tsunami? Water is the softest substance on earth, yet get it going and nothing can stop it. Softness rules!!

Seriously, though, I also have found what I needed. A multitool is my EDC of choice, by necessity. Call it youth (I'm only 35), or a sign of the times, but between work and leisure, I find myself using/needing a multitool almost everyday. When I was only carrying the Peanut, I was constantly going over to the tool box. I refuse to use my blade as a can opener, or screwdriver, or prybar, or scraper. That's not what it's meant for. Sure, I CAN use it for that, and have learned how to do it "safely", but why abuse my beloved cutting edge? When I carry my multitool, I just reach for that, and it's all good. I have found that with a minimalist multitool like my Leatherman Sideclip (My Blast broke on me), and either a CV Soddie Jr., or my Peanut, I am well prepared for just about anything. Whatever I don't have on me I can improvise on.
Pocket knife for cutting, multitool for everything else.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.;)
But take it as far as you can, mnblade. Go for it.

Went to a show today , one thing on my shopping list, a cv peanut. Lo and behold found my dealer buddy and there was the Peanut just waiting for me.
It is sitting here next to the computer getting used to its new home .My first impression was 'boy it is small' , but you boys have given me a hankering to give the little fella a go .:D

Congradulations spike and paul!

Yes, on first impression it's a very small knife, but if you really use it for a while edc, it will really impress you out of proportion to it's size.:thumbup::thumbup:

If I don't carry my peanut for a bit, I get withdrawl.

Yellow CV Workers are the kings of the pocket:

Still debating whether I want the yeller CV Peanut or the Red Bone one. I'm partial to red myself, but the yeller is so..... old-school.
You know?

Today I tossed my yellow CV peanut in my pocket for the first time in several months. I have missed its presence since I started the one knife experiment. It is honestly one of my favorite knives to carry. I like it for my small tasks most of the time, trimming fishing line thread, cleaning my nails, opening my mail, and peeling apples. I also use it often for skinning squirrels during the fall, and cleaning trout in the spring not to mention the deer last season. I also love its yellow handle, and the patina on the blade. It is a tough package to beat. Joe

What scales are available in CV? Just yellow&red?

Any other cutlers offering Peanuts in carbon? I just gtr an urge...

Peanuts also come with black coated CV blades and bone handle. No more moral dilemma whether to induce patina or go for natural patina. Plus not only is it CV it is black. Everyone knows black blades are ever so tactical.

That may be the most beautiful bone I have seen on a Peanut. I would buy that just for the jewelry effect. Wow.
