I completely forgot about replying to this post after a few days. I figured the CV Swayback would be popular, but I never figured it would be still alive after 47 posts, 3 pages and 9 days.
Thanks to all for the comments and kind words. Glad to provide you guys with some pictures that you like. Anything to keep your slipjoint juices flowing and your wallet empty.
Moonwilson,
I certainly hope the people at Case read this thread. Perhaps everyone that really likes what Case is doing with the Chestnut CV line should contact them directly and let them know how pleased we are.
Neeman,
The Swayback probably would make a decent palette knife due to the straight edge. Guess you could say I'm on the cutting edge of the art scene. :barf:
The paints on the palette are oils, but I use just about all types of mediums in my work( watercolors, oils, acrylics, digital, sculpting, etc.). I'm what you'd call an artistic jack of all trades, master of nothing.
To answer your question, the Case Swayback is definitely high on quality. Best Case I've ever owned. The Texas Jack is nice, but the fit and finish on mine wasn't as good. The F&F of this knife is right up there with my Schatt & Morgan and better than most of my GEC slipjoints.
xbxb,
Thanks for the kind words. Glad you like the photos.
How's your modified copperhead holding out?
