Case CV Swayback Jack

I don't know whether to back-up my stockman or the swayback! Maybe both at some point. These case knives are just too nice! Thanks for enabling me though :D

I finally received my Swayback. All I can say is ditto to all the positive feedback given already. This is a great little knife and I'm going to enjoy carrying and using it.

Yeah that!

Mine came in yesterday and is easily my favorite Case. Fit and finish is outstanding for this price point. Springs are flush in all three positions. I will definitely be trying a few more from the Chestnut Bone CV line. If they are as well built as this knife you can't go wrong.
I snapped afew photos tonight.

Wow. I received my swayback in the mail a couple of days ago. This knife has fit and finish well above anything I had come to expect from a case knife. I think it is every bit as good as my Canal street cutlery cannitler and a Tidioute. Lovin the half-stops.

This swayback pattern is weird to cut away or downward with. It seems designed to pull cut toward your thumb. Just my weirdo opinion on that :D

While sharpening the too thick (for me) bevel out I did notice this steel seems to be harder than most CV.

Makes me wonder if they put a little extra effort into their T.B. knives. Whatever it is I like it.

Boy I'll tell ya Augustus can really take a picture. Those are really nice looking. Good Job.!!

I completely forgot about replying to this post after a few days. I figured the CV Swayback would be popular, but I never figured it would be still alive after 47 posts, 3 pages and 9 days.

Thanks to all for the comments and kind words. Glad to provide you guys with some pictures that you like. Anything to keep your slipjoint juices flowing and your wallet empty. ;)

Moonwilson,
I certainly hope the people at Case read this thread. Perhaps everyone that really likes what Case is doing with the Chestnut CV line should contact them directly and let them know how pleased we are.

Neeman,
The Swayback probably would make a decent palette knife due to the straight edge. Guess you could say I'm on the cutting edge of the art scene. :barf:

The paints on the palette are oils, but I use just about all types of mediums in my work( watercolors, oils, acrylics, digital, sculpting, etc.). I'm what you'd call an artistic jack of all trades, master of nothing.

To answer your question, the Case Swayback is definitely high on quality. Best Case I've ever owned. The Texas Jack is nice, but the fit and finish on mine wasn't as good. The F&F of this knife is right up there with my Schatt & Morgan and better than most of my GEC slipjoints.

xbxb,
Thanks for the kind words. Glad you like the photos.
How's your modified copperhead holding out?

I'll add mine to the collection. Great little knife, Case did good with this one.

(Yup, sorry 'bout the fingerprints, I can't leave this one well enough alone.)
