I'd really been wanting another Case from 78' since the last one I bought was so nice... well this Christmas I decided to treat myself to a couple more, another half whittler (6208) and a regular whittler (6308). Both knives have that near perfect f&f Case seems to be known for in their 70's lineup and they snap like gators. Enjoy the new pics and please add to the resurrection of this thread if you've got some pics or info of your own... Try not to mind the left over oil or fuzz from my cleaning cloth. :)

I love the pocket-friendly rounded bolsters. You don't see those enough these days, IMO. Thanks for sharing these pics, by the way. Good stuff.

Nick, for some reason I am only now seeing this. Beautiful knives you have there!

Thanks for all the pictures from everyone. I have some nice 1970s Case knives. I'll go get some pictures and be back.

My first 1970s Case acquisition was back in June. It is a 1978 delrin handled, well used 6344 HE stockman. I have thoroughly enjoyed using this one. I find the gentle serpentine shape of the frame, and the blades when extended, not only comfortable in the hand, but appealing to the eye.

The sheepsfoot is my favorite and most used blade.

A month later I was fortunate to find two jack knives for sale here on the forum. I no longer have this 1978 mini trapper 6207, but I still like looking at the pictures of it!

Here is the 6207 alongside the 6232 jack I had picked up a week and a half earlier.

Look at how nicely those blades fit between the scales!

I liked the 6232 so much, and talked about it here enough, that someone suggested I look for a 6332 stockman.

I did, and found this one from 1973 back in October.

I traded the 6207 to Paul, and he completely surprised me by throwing in this 6244 jack from 1978 in addition to what we agreed on for the trade.

Finally, just yesterday I received this appaloosa peanut from 1978.

So, yeah, I am pretty pleased with the 1970s Case knives I have owned.

Wow Doug, awesome pics / knives. I'm glad you found the thread. It was the pics of your newest 78 peanut that gave me the idea to post pics of my latest 78's. Thanks for the inspiration sir!

Nice pics JAB, that redbone is a real beauty! The quote you use for your signature is awesome as well. Who might I ask is S. Hunter?
