Case from the 70's

Thanks - IMHO, Case redbone is pretty tough to beat.

The quote is from Stephen Hunter's Bob Lee Swagger novel Point of Impact (I had to abbreviate it due to signature length restrictions).

You know I was wondering the same thing. As I was reading it, I was thinking "jackknife".

I'm kinda bummed out that I can't play in this game, but I haven't come across the right knife at the right time and at the right price. I would love to have a 6207 or a 6232 or even a 6292. Maybe one of these days I'll get lucky. There sure are some really sweet pocket knives in this thread.

Some knives of real character and quality being show in this thread. In fact, it's re-kindled my interest in CASE knives, the OP's Half Whittler has particularly nice handles, that bone is extremely interesting.

Might be difficult to find these CASE knives from the 70s that aren't hugely expensive I suppose, but a trip to the Bay is in order.

As for birth years, that will be difficult for me as I don't believe CASE were in business well back in the c 19th :D:eek: Well, after Christmas et al & the New Year debauch looming, that's how old I feel  ( I suppose the barf smiley isn't allowed here:D)

And the last two....

While this one is an XX era knife, I included it because it carried on the red bone theme :D
