Case knives you would NEVER buy....

I would NEVER carry that. On the other hand, if it appeals to women and gets more women carrying knives, voting on knife-friendly laws, and being more self-reliant in general, that's a great thing.

I guess I'm coming around to the view that I have my own preferences, but if garish designs allow an American knife company to succeed in the marketplace with American-made knives, that's a good thing.

(I'll just limit myself to the tasteful ones. ;) )

I mainly like one blade knives so I don't buy stockmans or trappers. I don't buy warncliffs or speys or sheepsfoots. A two blade knife with a clip point main and a spear point for a second is fine so I usually love canoes, barlows and most whittlers. Clip point, spear point, pen and drop points work for me so most combos of those suit me. I don't have much use for a muskrat either but it works on a moose with a clip point main. Pink Polka Dotted Peanuts ain't gonna make it either.

Just pulled out my 78' Case Camper, it has CV blades a jigged bone handle and was probably one of the last consistent quality Cases made.

Sad thing is, that is not bone and it wasn't made by Case....

90% sure that is Delrin and made by Camillus on contract...

I wouldn't buy this one...well maybe I would if it wasn't 3/4's of the way to 200 bucks.I've seen real guitars cheaper than that.

So when NASCAR's Ernie Ervan had his horrible wreck and I bought that Schrade Lightweight Lockback with Ernie's signature and his number'4' on the blade knowing that if he died from his injuries it might be worth something, that was wrong? :foot:

I went to Pro Bass Shops today and I looked at a couple of Cases that I wanted. A small trapper and another 63032 like my old one. Both were handled in that Amber? bone. I wasn't crazy for the jigging. It looked almost amaturist. The other thing was in the open position the backsprings came out past the liners.I don't mind when the blade isn't flush with the springs but when the liners and springs don't line up in the open and closed position, well I just don't like it. If you were using it for a period of time, the springs would irritate your hand. The last thing I wasn't crazy about was how the blades are tumbled now. The tangs aren't crisp anymore.Has anyone else found this to be irritating?I'm disappointed.
