Recommendation? Case large stockman

They do, but will patina and darken out while the SS just stays a bright shiny gaudy fingerprint magnet.
Boy I wish they'd offer their ground finished on far more options.
I agree it is gaudy and ugly

Grey scotchbrite and a spot of oil and it'll take that mirror finish right off. If you want to go even more, 400 or 600 grit paper with oil.

I've just gotten used to doing that, lol.

Love the Case 6375 stockman, I have a green micarta present day build, and a 1973 xx red(-ish)bone vintage, not much has really changed except the blade pull. The newer ones are little softer but still have great walk and talk. It's a great EDC knife. One of my favorites.

I just recently got a 6375 carbon steel large stockman with amber bone. The blades came with possibly the worst edge I have seen on any knife at any price, but after an hour and a half working on them, I finally got edges I like, and so far they seem to be holding up fine.

There is some blade rub, and the main blade is a bit mushy on closing, but I like the size and weight and feel in the hand, and it does look nice. I see this one getting carried and used a lot in the future.

Some great looking knives here for sure , now I'm thinking probably a large stockman in carbon and a medium stockman in ss , since the medium isn't available in carbon here in Canada as I can find , Blades Canada warriors and wonder. Not only do ya have some great knives, there is some great photography as well

Another pic of a Case 6375 large stockman, this in smooth antique bone and ss blades. This one I was able to hand select at a knife store, no issues.
I hope you find everything you want in your stockman knife, whatever you decide on and welcome to the forum. :)

I love stockman pattern. There was a thread on the forums, by arizonarachman I believe, where he posted regularly his use of the Case 6375 CV. Sadly I can't find it now but that thread was the reason I got mine. It is a great knife but I seem to like rounded bolsters better. The 18 stockman gets carried more often than the 47 but I wish the 18 was a bit bigger. So for my next stockman I'm going for a Case 47.

sunknife sunknife your 6375SS is very nicely built; threaded bolsters, bomb shield, beautifully even smooth bone - lots of extras. A real nice example of a Case Knife. OH
Thanks, Bruce. No knife stores near me where I can hand select what I like. I found a store in Greer, SC while visiting daughter there last year and they had a huge selection of Case knives, as well as some others. I went there twice in two days, spent a couple hours there each time and picked out two knives to bring home. :)

I recall that thread as well and it might've influenced my own decision to buy my 6375 CV in Amber Bone. I searched it out and it's linked below:

That last photograph with the fly rod and reel, and flies, is amazing. Are you a professional photographer?

Welcome to the forums.

I second looking into the 2023 bladeforums knife, it's a carbon steel. Better quality and heat treat than a case, I own both btw.

You may regret missing out on this chance in the future.
