Case quality

Case quality is better than average for what they cost. Problem is that when people expect a $60 knife to be as good as a $160 knife (GEC), they have unrealistic expectations. I have over 100 post 1970 Case's, I have re-sold many for a variety of defects (wobble, lackluster snap), but those that I've kept are my all star team - fine knives by any stretch. So to answer the OP's question, there are many good late model Case knife's - not every one, but more often than not, they're great knives.

This is one of the burnt amber bone trappers in 154CM. Both blades are pushing into the mark side liners. I just submitted a warranty repair request. I’m not sure if they’ll accept it for warranty repair but I’ll keep you posted either way.

I’m happy to report that Case did fix this problem under warranty. Your average hardware store knife buyer would probably not have sent this in so I’m glad Case considered this a defect and fixed it. They did really nice job. It took right at 6 weeks to get it back. My only complaint is that it came back filthy. I had to Flitz the grime off of the blades. Overall very happy. A big thanks to Case. I will not hesitate to buy more knowing that Case will stand behind their products.
