Case slimline trapper 61048

I have one in SS Bermuda Green Jigged Bone. For several years it stayed in my work bag as a dedicated food knife. I'd carry something else in my pocket, but if I needed to cut up an apple or something for lunch, I would use the Slimline Trapper.

Workplace changed a few years back and it would not have been acceptable, so it stayed home. It was great for the intended purpose while it lasted. Stainless steel makes it easy to wash with a little soap and rinse off in the break room sink.

It rests now on a little stand on a shelf with many of my other most used pocket knives, ready for service if ever needed again. Still nice and sharp.

Indeed, they are top-shelf food knives as well. Apples and fat sub sandwiches do not stand a chance ;). I am mostly a stainless guy with pocket knives, but I believe I will scout around for a CV to put in the rotation.

This knife grows on you rather quickly...

I'm gonna bump this old thread
Because I wanna ask y'all an opinion

I have one, in yellow delrin and cv
Absolutely lovely example, no wobble, perfectly centered blades, great walk and talk
I have absolutely no complaints about it

I just wonder if it's actually up to EDC in say an warehouse environment
That bolster looks awfully tiny for such a long and slim knife

Also I had read somewhere that the pattern used to be known as a farmers jack. Which if it's true, implies it may be tougher than I am giving it credit for

I probably wouldn’t break down a ton of boxes with one, but for most everything else on an ordinary day, it should do fine. I do cad design and cnc programing for an industrial lighting company, which means I am doing a variety of tasks that are easily handled by either a trapper, stockman, or SAK. A slimline trapper works well in that role.

Rival from the late Queen Cutlery in D2.

Warehouse work? Depends what...the long blade could easily get stuck in boxes and or close on you, not what I'd carry for that but it is a great pocket carry for cutting up fruits, hard salami, cheese etc when outdoors, tackles melons too- moderate sized ;)
