Boy, I'd been wanting a nice solid single blade folder. I have a few Bucks but didn't want another lock back. The GEC's and such are there but I didn't want one so dressy. The Sod Buster fit the bill!
It is dang sharp too!

I think I may get one or two of the Jr size too. :D

Great knives for sure. I need to get one of the Large CV Yeller ones. I have a Junior and a GEC Bullnose (which I've got in my pocket today). Handy, thin, sharp and don't cost too much. Great for hunting, just mind your knife handling.

Very nice! The sod buster design talks to me for some reason - simplicity, meant to be worked, and some history to the pattern.

If you want a smaller one (3-5/8"), you might try the Queen #70 Country Cousin in micarta and D2 for comparison. I love mine.

Those are beautiful knives and great pics btw.

I agree Jimmy. Of the sodbuster types out there, it's the Queen that'll get my money. I like the yellow Delrin too but that green Micarta looks sweet!

You can't beat a Sodbuster, for true "general use" knife. An excellent value for the money, and one of the least expensive American slipjoints. Case has done the right thing by reintroducing the CV/Yellow Delrin 3138. Now only if they'd bring back the Carbon with the black handles. Either way their Tru-Sharp is more than serviceable. I hope you enjoy yours, it's a heck of a knife.

Great knife, very glad that Woodrow put the Junior in my pocket

I like the sodbuster pattern quite a bit myself. I am thinking of ordering the Bear ans Sons Farmhand (sodbuster) with G10 handles for a work knife. Does anyone have any experience with this knife? It comes in black and yellow.

I have the yellow handled Queen CC, and I love it. Inexpensive, D2 blade (!) and full flat ground. Out of all the Queen knives I own, this one is the only one that came nasty sharp out of the box - and it was the least expensive!

The handles on the Queen are a bit rounder and more full than the CASE I own, and rounder than the Bulldog soddie I own as well. While the Queen takes up a bit more room in the pocket than the CASE or Bulldog, the wider, rounder handle makes it much easier for me to use as a work knife.

I don't have much knowledge over these blades, is this a slipjoint or friction folder knife?

There aren't many fans of Bear and Sons products here. Many cite terrible fit and finish with any of their knives.
