Case Swayback Gent CV.

Case has a new deep red jigged bone version out in CV  If they are as good as the chestnut bone versions (in photo) they will be nice. BTW, I have three of the chestnut brown ones..

I sure wish they would have released a two bladed version for this run. I’ve been trying to find a two bladed Chestnut CV for about 3 or 4 months now with no luck.

Got my red jigged CV in yesterday and really like the color. The blade is decently sharp and, miracle of miracles, the tip isn't rounded off. Of course it's also way off center but it wouldn't be a Case without some little nit to pick at. I had forgotten how much I like this design.

I am very specific about centering, and blade play in the comments section when ordering, I usually get a pretty nice knife. Also, you could always send in to Case repair..but it will be gone for six weeks.

STILL waiting for mine to be delivered, getting fed-up with the post here.

It took 6 days to get from Kentucky to Helsinki, not bad at all. But it's been in Helsinki 450 kms away) since Friday WEEK. No deliveries on Tuesdays so it will be 12 days on Weds. Sick:poop:

I asked for a dark colour bone, blade centre does not bother me so long as snap is not impaired. Of course, if it IS centred then that's excellent. These knives come flush in 3 positions and that's impressive

To be honest it doesn't bother me and the little idiosyncrasies make for a knife that I'm not afraid to get dirty.

AHa! Notification said it was at the collection point, so I tear off to the P.O. to get it as no deliveries on Tuesday.

It's in the pocket straightaway :D

Quick observations: cannot find any fault with it ;) Good colour, good W&T loud snap without cleaning out or oiling, blade centre, no gaps I can see, no play either.Arrived sharp and pointy. Bone radiused properly, no liners proud of the scales... Pin work is very nice on these knives, 2 large domed pins and 2 small flat ones. There are times when GEC could take a look at this, they sometimes produce ugly sink-holes. Beautiful little knife that makes a great carry whatever you're up to:cool:

65 USD including International postage seems very fair to me, most GEC single blades would cost more than this I'm sure.

Thanks, Will

Great looking knives. How do you all feel about the handle shape in regards to normal cutting tasks? Obviously it's more of a "pull slicer" design so I'm just curious if it's comfortable just slicing up an apple, etc.?

Thanks in advance.

This chestnut CV showed up over the weekend. Amazing jigging, and I really like the size and shape. Very good walk & talk. All the nice pics here are what sent me over the edge...Thanks! :D

They all have little issues, some worse than others. I sent one back. When returned the issues I noted were fixed..but it came back overbladed....ugh.
