When I was first developing my enjoyment of traditional pocket knives, Case brand in particular, I never saw the appeal of the Trapper pattern. Too big, and that funny-shaped spey blade. That was, until I bought one. It is truly one of my favorite patterns now and is what I carry when I am not particularly concerned about the size.

I have several variants, including one with a full-length Wharncliffe that replaces the long spey. However, I have come to appreciate the spey blade shape as well, so I generally carry the standard pattern. This one is my most carried and used of the ones I own:

I love the look and feel of the Pocket Worn Old Red Bone handles.
