It appears that from the vote most with the exception of BG that people think that the knives were the catalog knives and that they wern't worth the final selling price. I knew it!

Not exactly.

First of all, I know that the knives are the catalog knives.

Second, I know there are collectors who would pay above that e-Bay price.

That puts me in the minority.

Can you figure out why I like that?

Hint: If everybody knew things like this, everybody could make a lot of money buying and selling collectibles (and I'd make less).

;)

Now that's some funny stuff right there;)

John......what are you saying?

Come on......I'm sure you've seen WAY funnier stuff than that on this forum!

Remember the famous and learned Buck collector who paid 370GBP + 35GBP shipping for...........ummmmm........nothing? Remember Western Union?

And remember the wild gifting of expensive knives in the following months?

And the collection of money for a transatlantic flight for a Buck Buddy?

And the mysterious case of the vanishing "Buck Buddy?"

It's all in the archives.

I'm funny, but I couldn't compare with that.......you can't make up comedy like that.

;)

Yep BG,

We live & learn, some of the lessons in life are harder to swallow than others. But, hay I tell you what. I'm going to get out a set of Buck knives a plane Jane 110/112 and photo shop them onto an old Buck catalog page for you. You can buy them for that infaled price or sell them to some other specuating collectors like you.

Glad you learned (you and a few other people that came along with you on that wild ride). It could even be possible that you don't know it all yet.

:D

Even if they are the real ones, to me, that doesn't make them special enough to warrant the price. JMHO. And that's coming from a guy who will buy just about anything!:D

P.S., I thought for a moment that the seller might be one of ITE's "ex-Buck Employee's", but since he/she didn't seem to know for sure what bolsters were, I doubt it now.
If the bolsters are those yellow metal parts on either end of the knife? Yep,they're AMAZING ONE OF A KIND KNIVES!:D:D:D
