It's not a slippie, but it was my grandfathers when he was in the NAVY during WWII. An old 225Q. It was a little rusty when I found in his work shed. I cleaned it up a little but left a lot of the character in it. This thing takes a mean convex edge.

Dude, THAT knife is the true definition of "keeper"! It deserves a place of honor and respect.

Thanks. I have it displayed in my gun cabnit for now. I would like to have a new sheath made for it so it can be honored even more on a camping or hunting trip.

Barry it certainly is a cool knife. Do the pics give a clue as to what the "cool secret" might be ?
Maybe it was John Lennon's knife ? he was "cool".
maybe give us a hint.

Although this knife has a broken blade and has seen some rough service in it's user life, it is a treasured member of my Catt collection. Its a brass enameled figural champagne pattern knife. The knife holds a cool secret......anyone care to guess? I'm sure one of you guys must know. Barry

HINT.....There is on nail nick or "ease" to access the corkscrew.

It's like your supposed to drive you finger in the slot to make it pop out a bit to catch it?

No, This is a Korn's Patent knife. Circa 1880s-1890s. It has a mechanism for an automatic opening blade. To access the corkscrew you depress the wire cutter blade.

Well that is neat. i have knives in which a blade is depressed to release the lock on another blade, but never to open a blade.
always something new to learn with knives.
thanks Barry.
