CBM's - Customized Benchmade's

Hey guys. If I sent one of you some material would you be willing to craft some scales for my 581? I got the material, and do not have the workspace or tools to accomplish them. The material is orange G10 / cf combo and I have already borked one set of cf scales. Let me know if its possible. Thanks in advance.

I would love to do a barrage! haven't done one yet, but it would be much easier than a griptilian or mini grips. How thick is the material?

If that's USA's Orange G10/Carbon Fiber then it's only 3/16" thick.
There are several spot's, on the back side of the scale, that will need to be hollowed out to accommodate different items.
Such as; the pivot, the pivot screw, the omega springs as well as space for the back spacer screws.
The screws will need to be cut to an exact length; no longer, no shorter.
Other wise than that it's a breeze. :D

Oh easy peasy Keyman ;) haha im always up for the challenge and something new!

^^ Wow Keyman - these last pics have really upped my anticipation of what I have coming........!!!

I believe it's 3/16. All I really want done is the lower half of the scales. Like keyman said the material isn't thick enough for full length. The lower half of the onlay would be dandy though. Lol. Thanks for the interest though you guys. Let me know if you are still interested.

My very first benchmade scales. Blue Kirinite. Much more practice needed. But I'm a fast learner. The Sequel was a good start because there is minimal milling needed. The Axis lock slot gave me some trouble, but I have a new plan for making it cleaner next time. I also had some trouble getting the captive nuts to tighten correctly on these scales, so I crudely cut some flathead slots so I could tighten then.

No where near as clean as Keyman, but I do love little projects, and its a fun learning experience.

I like the material you are using; looking forward to your second run!

I can't see any pictures after post #374. Only a message from flickr saying that the image is unavailable.
