CBM's - Customized Benchmade's

Some snakewood this time. I'll probably get some more pictures when I get them done.

Lots of works in progress this sunday.

Wow, that looks super grippy! G10?

Yup, it sure is!
It feels a lot like the surface of a rough cut wood file.......when you run your hand accross it.
I just finished a Spyderco fixed blade in this stuff this week end.
I can't show that here (that would be bad form) but I can show a 710 wearing the same pyramid textured G10.
Super grippy it is!

Beautiful scales on the 710HS. Question is how do pockets fare with the textured grip?
Thanks J, that's dj's scales.
I think that texture would still be a little rough on pockets...it can be what I would consider sharp.
This Wasps Nest canvas micarta below has got comparable grip without being sharp.
Therefore, saving on the pocket damage.

Thanks M., DJ still buying knives? :D Just before we left Cali a visit to his home was required. We did a good trade or two. Those scales look like something he would love.

Some stuff from last week.

Carbon fiber and Snakewood.

More carbon fiber and ironwood burl

Someone wanted a flat set of canvas micart instead of my normal curved.

DOAT, that cf snake wood inlay is FREAKING GORGEOUS!

I like the other woods you've shown in the past, but that one in particular is just beautiful:thumbup:

More of these.

Plus my light saber back spacer.

Thanks, Deathofallthings! The scales are unbelievably crafted and fits perfectly. The cf and the inlay are seamless and feels like one piece. Great work!

don't know whether it has already been answered, but check out the different raffir materials on their website, stripes and sparkles are pretty awesome.
http://www.raffir.com/
as for the price, one of the retailers here in germany carries blocks 120x40x26mm (143 g) for 27€ for raffir fibre, and 120x40x25mm (146 g) at 29€ for raffir sparkle.
another one has a larger selection:

just use google translate, i think it will suffice.

schmiedeglut also delivers to the states. and if you are absolutely desperate for the stuff, drop me message or email, though i'd guess delivery by schmiedeglut would suffice. ;)

Real elephant ivory 940. Don't ask me to make you a set, I won't. These were for a friend who supplied the ivory.

Other stuff from the weekend.
