CBM's - Customized Benchmade's

Keyman Keyman - Can you post a few more pics of that 707 Stubby? I'd like to see it from different angles and with the blade open if you can. I'd be very grateful. Also, if that is yours and you would like to sell it let me know. If it was you that did the mods and would be willing to do another also let me know.

Not sure how I feel about either of these. Thought they'd look better when they were done. Might have to rethink things, maybe go back to my 2/3s inlay style like the griptilians.

The second one is sweet; grey one with inlay.

I really like the inlay material, thinking that knife wasn't the right place for it though. I'm not sure. The blue ctek one has grown on me a lot though. Either way though, these are still a pain in the butt, the inlays are so thin... having to come up with some new tricks and learn as I go. The process will have to improve a bit if I'm going to be making more of them, lost my cool a couple times already with one I was working on tonight. Had to step back and rethink things and refixture a bit... we'll see how it goes when I try again later in the week.

I like the large inlay. I'd want a white set with black inlays and a black set with white inlays. Call them the tuxedo and the storm trooper.

Has anyone been successful in dying their gray/blue G10 scales on the 550-1 or 551-1?

Tried my hand at blackening some SS standoffs today. I used a simple heat & quench process I found on line.

I haven't seen any, but gray g10 dyes well enough. I doubt they'd pose any real issue. Resulting colors might be a bit of a toss-up though.
