Central Texas Knife Show

Just seeing those pics of John Fitch trying to cut all those bottles is amazing... Reminds me of Ed Schempp's demo at our local knife show out here a few years ago when he tried for 12 in the rope cut!!!

Two people I don't want to be on the receiving of a swing with a blade in their hands!!! And they are great peeps, too!:D

Wow. I must get that Fitch knife I've been eyeing. Thanks for posting, these are great live shots. Good timing.

We had a wonderful time at the show. Good friend, and Collector, dealer, L. Chow flew in from Cali. Jack Putnum was on hand. Famous old Texas maker Clay Gault was there, as was several well known makers. Stout had some gourgious little knives there. Rupel, and his buddy had some beauties. We Sold everything we took, and took a few orders, and had some great food and conversation.. All in all, a great weekend. Mike and Manuela Lovett

I would like to thank Roger for posting all of the pictures before and after the show.
These pictures and comments that are in this thread is why I believe there will allways be a need for knife shows. This show was by no means anything like the blade show, BUT this show and other smaller shows offer opportunities that you just wont find at the super large shows.
I am glad that Nichelle and I and others are able to make this happen. I am already planning for next year and ways to make it better and funner. I learn something every year and this year is no different.
I would like to announce some award winners.
Harvey Dean took best fixed blade with the knife pictured in this thread.
Bill Ruple took best folder and best of show with a real nice pearl whittler.

Got home from Johnny & Katie Stouts yesterday late, had a blast at the show like always, looking foward to next years as well, Enjoyed meeting new people and seeing alot of old friends. Didn't sell any but took 3 good orders, could have sold Chris's if he hadn't've been so greedy :D, Thanks again Chris, you & your bride make a fun show. God bless all, Dwayne

I have to agree with everyone else. It was a great show. And it was really good to see everyone again. We had a great time visiting with old friends and just hanging out with everyone.

Knifemakers are great people and some of the best around were here at this show.

Can't wait till next year.

Later,
Tony
