CF FFG Manix 2

Sweet.

I'm glad I waited and got the Para instead.

Looking forward to the newest Manix 2.

Now coming in FFG with S90V is EXACTLY what this knife needed.

I'm on preorder for two Manix 2 FFG S90V now. They should be a bit under $170 street.

Carbon fiber? Aww, man. It's gonna be a million bucks!

But S90V... Might be too much to resist =S

I inquired about a ZDP-189 Manix 2...Sal said they'd rather use s90v which he said is compariable if not better than ZDP-189. Also, it will still be a bbl knife.

But yea, I'd love a ZDP-189 Manix 2 or a bbl ZDP-189 Stretch (which also will not happen most likely, according to Sal).

The S90 makes way more sense because it's a Golden knife. If the current model is made here State-side with 154cm then the logical step would be to upgrade materials from Crucible and slap some CF on it.

ZDP/VG10/H1 is Japanese so it would likely cost extra over S90v having ZDP imported (or tooled/then imported).

I have a thing for stainless tool steels and carbon fiber. Very high tech.

On the Tero Tuff stuff.... someone posted a prototype picture of a Military with this stuff. It looked a lot like beadblasted canvas micarta [flat matte finish]. Maybe this stuff is it?

We'll be making a variety of the Manix2 pattern with various combinations.

The next is a carbon fiber (peel-ply) full, skeletonized liners, full flat CPM-S90V blade. I've been carrying one for a couple of days. Eric will give you a "heads up" when they're shipping. It's a very nice piece, in my opinion.

Eric has been working on a design for a larger Manix, over 4", but nothing has gone to engineering yet.

We have a lightweight FRN Mold in-the-works with Endura style texturing.

This is the one that has a street price of around $170 right? That is a nice knife!

I was wondering why the original Manix 2 didn't have skeletonized liners. Cost maybe?

I do not know if I should ask this question...
OK, here I go: will the CF S90V Manix 2 be a sprint run?

I think that will be the nicest one you will have produced, and by one I mean Spyderco Knife. That would be amazing. A bit out of my price range though. What we need is a FFG G-10 Maybe S90V or CPM 154:D Hmmm even D-2 or H-1 would be very interesting.

I was really hoping they'd use CPM154 for the blade instead of 154CM.

I like the idea of a FRN version though. :D
