Glad to see this deal get undone. It should never have gotten to this point.

I have a strange suspicion you may get some heat from another internet website......................................

Thanks for informing us about the situation, I agree with RD and you should post this as well in the other forum. Hopefully if the other side of the story is different he shows up and let us know but so far it seems pretty one sided.

Thanks, and your absolutely right

If your talking about the green forum, you are mistaken.

Postal Intercept? Great idea. Hurrah for USPS.
I'm glad it worked out for you. Now that each has his own knife back, the world can relax a little and just worry about Iran's nuclear capability.
:)

It was pretty one sided. He lied and i was truthful lol.

Im still waiting for a change of tracking status or a charge to my card. He was pretty irrate that he seemingly came so close to getting one over on me.
What did he say??

Let us know when you have your knife back in hand. Good thing you were able to intercept the package in time. Considering how expensive the knife is, that must be a huge relief.

Threads like this remind me why I don't do trades. It's just not worth the drama.

Is this Chad123golf username at the green forum??, I don't see anything you posted there as you claimed you did?, I looked in the Tuffknives forum and the "who sucks and does not" and nothing .... There is a chance your story is right but I see no thread at the green forum, if you are accusing someone of wrong doing this community needs the facts, I was hanging out with Geoff at a ny/nj gtg last Thursday and some of his friends and I believe we all like to know the whole story here, including Chad's input.
I'm referring to this;

I sure did. this was more of an effort to let other people know, so that others are not lied to as well. I understand there will be no action or anything on bladeforums.

Yes chad123golf

Im an open book on this topic. Because it didn't happen on the green forum, the mods took it down. Although the mod I dealt has made it clear that something is being done.... what that is, i wont dosclose because the mod asked me not to. Plain and simple.... whe. I got his knife and made him aware of the issues he told me NOT to send his knife back (several times in fact) and that he was in fact going to keep my knife. I thought he already recieved it, and it was a scramble for me to get it rerouted when i found out it wasn't. Ive sonce sent his knife back, he recieved it, and i believe he moved it already.

Any questions please feel free to ask. Its over as far as I'm concerned.

He put his integrity on the line in order to get something he wanted.... even accused me of a "dirty trick" when i rerouted the package

Also.... this is old news. He was informed of this and never came forward. He apologized at the end of the ordeal.

I sent him a pm but no replied thus far, I keep my eye out for this.

I was just made aware of this post a few minutes ago. I would have responded sooner if I knew it existed. Popsickle intercepted his knife and had both in his possesion. As far as I'm concerned this is water under the bridge. I stand behind the condition of my knife. I received my knife a week prior to trading it from a respectable knife seller on IG as nib. I took it for his word and only handled the knife a few minutes before storing it back away for a future flip. I was not aware of any mark/scratches/blemishes on the knife whatsoever. I have done hundreds of knife transactions without a hitch either way, I've got 100% feedback on here alone. I was shown pictures of markings on the pivot which I never noticed were there, call it unintentional representation or not, but I never visualized them while it was in my possesion and never inspected the knife with a microscope. As far as rust on the blade, I did not notice any whatsoever as well. This knife had the black g-10 scales so it was paired with a darker vulcanized finished blade. However, rust is a common occurrence on this finish as Greg stated in many videos and is completely normal and he recommends steel wool and oil and its back to new which I related to him. The knife was oiled when it was sent to me and remained oiled when it was sent. I had the original owner chime in on IG and share his input as well. He stated the knife was nib when he sent it out to me and it remained so while in my possession as I never used the knife. I sold the knife immediately after receiving it back and the current owner was aware of all of this as it was unfolding. The current owner contacted me and was very pleased with his new knife. He said he would not have noticed any problems with the knife at all. The slight scratches on the pivot were barely visible unless closely, and he meant closely inspected. I seriously thought and still think this guy had buyers remorse and wanted to reverse the trade. As far as the USN goes, this transaction did not have anything to do with it, he simply asked me to send him pictures to him in that forum. That's as far as it went. No posts were made and no transactions. I am still a forum moderator in good standing and have not been contacted by ANY member/mod until this evenng when this post was brought to my attention. I do not frequent this forum since my other membership.

Pics or no pics, like I said I never noticed any marks/scratches/blemishes on the knife whatsoever, so they would all be news to me. As far as my Reputation goes, I am completely fine. I have and will continue to have 100% feedback transactions since this occurred. There have been multiple transactions this month alone. I am 100% on here, USN and EBay as well as many others.

You have every right to comment in this thread and tell your story, but if its water under the bridge why even go into any extra detail?

You can stand behind it all you want it still doesn't excuse how you handled the situation. You say you weren't aware of the issues, but I did in fact make you aware of them.... and you did nothing to make the situation better. When this happened you both privately and publicly stated to NOT send your knife back that you wanted to keep the knife I had sent, and that you were going to keep my knife and that i should just enjoy yours. One of my favorite things you said was to get some steel wool and that it would remove the rust spots. Then, you wouldn't respond to any contact what so ever up until you were told the package was intercepted, and then you accused me of a "Dirty Trick". When I fully explained to you what the dirty trick actually had been, you apologized for the situation and asked for me to send your knife back. We had a LENGTHY conversation via text prior to this. The original owner also had a lengthy conversation with my via instagram and once he was made aware of how the situation was being handled, he disagreed with it as well. Me having both knives in my possession is irrelevant, because I did the right thing which was to send the knife back to you priority insured. This isn't about a knife, but more about integrity. You chose to brush off the fact that i was unhappy with the condition of a BRAND NEW knife that wasn't as such and i would have been on the bad end of the deal if not for the USPS parcel intercept. Bottom line, the knife wasn't as described and i had to act because you weren't willing to work with me due to tunnel vision. I've unfortunately seen many issues where people hide behind their good standing and name dropping to make another party look bad, which is exactley what you attempted with me. It didn't work then and it wont work now.

As for the other forum, you don't participate much other than the sub forum you moderate and previous buy/sell with only 1 feedback post. The maker of the forum you moderate was contacted via the admin staff and he asked that you not be banned.... which wouldn't have happened anyways because as you said, it didn't take place on the forum. I almost wish it had, but its not the right thing to wish ill will on anyone. I had let it go until it was dragged back up.

This should be a lesson to you that no object is worth your integrity. When a buyer/trader is unhappy and has a legitimate reason for feeling that way... you should reverse the deal if requested. There are very easy steps to avoid situations like these, and its called due diligence.

I had completely forgotten about this until it was brought back up from the depths. The truth is out in the open, I say we let it die. If not, I'm ok with that too.

What's done is done and I had completely forgotten about it until I received a PM in the other forum minutes before I posted this asking me to take a look at this post.

I just want to no if you said,a knife was nib and it had rust on it.a trade is not complete unless both parties are happy.you can not just keep a the knife if the one you traded out is not as stated.it does mean allot about the truth.both you guys are still out there trading.integrity and honesty is everything.future trades that eather one of you make will be scrutinized on condition and liability of the trade.

It's very clear that he already answered this above.... the part where he admits he didn't inspect the knife. He is still hiding behind me having buyers remorse which is an absolute joke. I ask very specific questions before I make a purchase, and when I confirmed with him the knife was brand new I gave the go ahead on a trade. I really liked the knife but unfortunately for him I don't want to keep something that I was lied to about in the first place. I had sent him a very polite text message telling him about the issues and that I would be sending it back and that's where everything spun out of control.

this is old news.... like a month old. both he and I got our knives back and have sinced moved them. I think that we should let this die, but let it stay for reference of character.

I understand I just dont like "liers" lurking the trade.what were the blades the one from you and his.atleast you got the po to work with you I am brawling with them to find my package.one was opened and 3knives stolen I had to return the kbife I got in the trade .now a box is just missing?
