You have every right to comment in this thread and tell your story, but if its water under the bridge why even go into any extra detail?
You can stand behind it all you want it still doesn't excuse how you handled the situation. You say you weren't aware of the issues, but I did in fact make you aware of them.... and you did nothing to make the situation better. When this happened you both privately and publicly stated to NOT send your knife back that you wanted to keep the knife I had sent, and that you were going to keep my knife and that i should just enjoy yours. One of my favorite things you said was to get some steel wool and that it would remove the rust spots. Then, you wouldn't respond to any contact what so ever up until you were told the package was intercepted, and then you accused me of a "Dirty Trick". When I fully explained to you what the dirty trick actually had been, you apologized for the situation and asked for me to send your knife back. We had a LENGTHY conversation via text prior to this. The original owner also had a lengthy conversation with my via instagram and once he was made aware of how the situation was being handled, he disagreed with it as well. Me having both knives in my possession is irrelevant, because I did the right thing which was to send the knife back to you priority insured. This isn't about a knife, but more about integrity. You chose to brush off the fact that i was unhappy with the condition of a BRAND NEW knife that wasn't as such and i would have been on the bad end of the deal if not for the USPS parcel intercept. Bottom line, the knife wasn't as described and i had to act because you weren't willing to work with me due to tunnel vision. I've unfortunately seen many issues where people hide behind their good standing and name dropping to make another party look bad, which is exactley what you attempted with me. It didn't work then and it wont work now.
As for the other forum, you don't participate much other than the sub forum you moderate and previous buy/sell with only 1 feedback post. The maker of the forum you moderate was contacted via the admin staff and he asked that you not be banned.... which wouldn't have happened anyways because as you said, it didn't take place on the forum. I almost wish it had, but its not the right thing to wish ill will on anyone. I had let it go until it was dragged back up.
This should be a lesson to you that no object is worth your integrity. When a buyer/trader is unhappy and has a legitimate reason for feeling that way... you should reverse the deal if requested. There are very easy steps to avoid situations like these, and its called due diligence.
I had completely forgotten about this until it was brought back up from the depths. The truth is out in the open, I say we let it die. If not, I'm ok with that too.
