Hey Guys,

After seem a review by Dagon, I really want a Chambriard Le Compagnon. Does any have this knife? Any dislikes?

Any place I can get it in the US? Shipping to the US is 20 euros:eek:

God Bless

Yes, the shipping was pretty expensive but it was also quite fast. I am still waiting for other knives i ordered from overseas on the same day. The knife itself, by the way is just wonderful. I love it. The tension on opening it is nicely tight and it opens with a snap and zero play in any direction. You won't be disappointed, however you end up getting it. Post pics when it shows up.

I have the stag scaled version. It's a beautiful knife, easily one of the nicest folders I own.

I'll try to take a few pictures over the weekend.

I bought my knife a few years ago on Ebay from a Canadian dealer, but I've also purchased knives from the vendor mrappraisit recommended and they're good too.

They are great knives. I also have one in stag. It's a beautiful knife that stands out in my collection of tactical one-handers, and work knives. Laguiole Southwest has about the best prices I've seen. I bought mine from ebay, though for a few dollars less.

I have one of those that I got from Laguiole southwest, years ago. Love the knife, the only complaint is that everytime I let it close on it's own, the inside of the spine hits the blade. Over the years it caused a flat spot on the blade. I usually sharpen it out.
I also have a Fontenille Pataud. I prefer it over the Chambriard. The Fontenille seems to be better finished.

Here's a few pictures of my knife.
I checked to see if the blade strikes the backspring like on the Laguiole design , but it doesn't.

That is a beautiful knife! Thanks for taking the pics. It's definitely a pleasure to look at that knife.
