Changes you wish would occur with productions/customs alike that would rock...

Mnandi/Lochsa hybrid with single piece contoured handle from Lochsa, blade shape/nail nicks/machined clip from the Mnandi and a flat ground blade.

Leatherman Charge Ti without the mini-screwdriver and with an awl + chisel.

Maybe.....make the Spyderco Native with a 3 3/4" blade.

Make a combo edge with the serrations in the CENTER of the blade with plain at tip and hilt. IF you want em.

:)

I do believe, however, that if anyone is capable of taking Concealex to the next level, it's you!

A Spyderco auto (never gonna happen).

Never say never!

At the proto preview show in the Netherlands someone brought this up. As you may or may not know Spyderco has been dancing around the SKU C100, and a lot of the fans have been wondering what special surprise they had in store for that SKU. Sal mentioned that he was thinking of doing an auto for the C100. Now who knows if this will really come into being, but there is some light at the end of the tunnel.

Someone already mentioned it on the list so far for my no. 1 thing I'd like to see happen: a Spyderco with an AXIS lock. That'll be the day. . .

Hey Prof...

After reading my last post,,it sounds kind of argumentative. I assure you it wasn't intended that way...

I'm interested in hearing Any ideas on the subject.

Thanks for your kind words..

I'm not sure what to do in regard to the Concealex scratching issue. When I think about it, most knives I have outfitted with custom Concealex or Kydex sheaths are users anyhow, and the scratches don't phase me.

I have a hangover like you would not f#@king believe...

Nice, satin-finished fighters and the like probably belong in leather. However, there's gotta be a way, short of gluing a thin lining of suede, leather, etc to the inside, to address the issue. I realize that creates retention issues, not to mention the potential to cut/tear the lining material.

Perhaps it's an instance of not fixing what ain't broke, but I know that as good as you are at sheathmaking, and you do freakin' rock at sheathmaking man, you've probably got some ideas in mind for the customer who has such concerns.

Time for some hair of the dog. Peace out, nothin' but love. :)

This has nothing to do with the makers of production, or custom knifemaker... BUT DAMN, I wish India would lift their embargo on Sambar stag. I've always loved narly, burnt stag handles on folding knives and It's next to impossible to find good quality stag on a production knife nowadays.

More quality production balisongs in the $50-$120 range- maybe a Kershaw made, Ken Onion designed model? Their folders are real pieces of work, both style and quality, and a balisong at the same standards would seriously rock.

an assisted opener Spyderco

Already here, or almost. Do a search for the "Spyker", which is a collaboration between Kershaw and Spyderco! :)

Matthew

The SpyKer will not be assited open. It is a manual one hand open with liner lock.

Spyderco D'allara with a drop point blade, gray G-10 handles, a wire clip and the Spyderco Spyder logo as the opening hole.

Ti framelock BM 520 with subtler texturing or Mayonized.

CRKT Framelock 2 with premium steel, G-10 or micarta scales, a deeper carry clip and scaled up to a 3.5" blade

Buck Strider 88X slim framelock.

Just thought of another.

I want a Benchmade 7100HSS. That is, an auto version of the 710HSS in M2 steel.

Or maybe an 8050HSS or 8060D2. Some sort of high-speed steel AXIS auto.

Er, wait. HSS means high-speed serrated, doesn't it? Make that a 7100HS, 8050HS or 8060D2. :footinmou

A folding CRK dagger with 4 inch blade, a big thumbstud and cool graphics

Benchmade 722 or 910 with a spearpoint blade shape, .130 blade stock with a heavily ground tip. And possibly coated with serrations that are even with the rest of the cutting edge...............maybe those too!

A Small sebenza with wharneclif blade with either a spyderhole or David Boye milled out recess for opening.

I agree a redseigned Spyderco Lum CHinese with framelock and a more ergo handle.

How about a small Sebenza with a warncliffe blade and a thumb disc opener? Tip down, of course. :)
