Mornin you ragged bunch of miscreants!

You skaliwags and scoundrels too.

Making more cyanotype prints this morning, trying it with some paper positives, leaving me a negative print. Working with long exposure times right now, I'm going for 15 minutes on the first one, and I will adjust rom there depending on how things develop.

Daniel, can't wait to see a mock up of the folder!!!

Just pulled my first negative cyanotype out of development, this one over exposed a bit and I lost some mid tones. This was a 13 minute exposure. But I think it looks ok, I'm going to try it again though, with shorter exposure time.

That's the paper positive next to it.

Also, the blue spotting on the grass photogram I did fully oxidized out. It looks better now, but I did like the funky background it provided.

I'll be ordering fresh chemicals to make my own cyanotype paper in funky sizes. For about $40 I can get enough to do 500 8"x10" prints! I'm thinking bigger C size prints would be cool.

Bring it! Those are so cool!!!

They seem to get better with each one, nice work. I really like the clean style.

I got it.
I finished all the work I had pending. On Monday will go back to normal.
New record, I worked 17 hours.

These are Cyanotype prints, not daguerreotypes. Cyanotypes uses potassium ferricyanide and ammonium ferric citrate and daguerreotypes are on a silver coated copper plate, much nastier process than cyanotypes.

That's two days in one! Nice it is done!

Back in college my buddies worked lunch shift cooking, it was tradition to "work a shift, drink a shift"! lol get off from cooking lunch and stay 'till close...

Anyone know of production knives with soaked cord wraps? ...random question! Xander I know you have the CRKT, it is a soaked wrap?

Damn quote tags aren't working for me right now...

Daniel, yes I have the First Strike by CRKT and it is epoxy soaked. Quite durable too, the turks head knot is actually used for retention in the abs sheath. No issues with wear or anything. It is high gloss though. That knife has been out of production for several years now, though.

Cool!... I was wondering if there were many epoxy soaked wraps on production knives at all.

I think durability isn't the issue, maybe uniformity or maybe labor cost?
