Dude Kevin, keep it locked up tight! Rather thn those cheesy fake security cameras that Harbour Freight sells, get an old webcam for a computer from goodwill and put it up. People know a fake security camera, but they don't know if a real camera is working or not!

Happy Sunday! Got my latté, its nice and cool out for a change, work is going smoothly, and pumping some Wax Tailor on pandora right now, Qué Sera sera. Next up on rotation is Nightmares On Wax. Grooving pretty good right now.

Day off! The 2013 Mini Knife KITH officially ended yesterday, too. Much smaller group this year, don't know why. Oh well, it only takes two to make it a KITH. We'll see what the interest is for next year, whether or not I even run it.

I'm not paranoid, much. We had some remodeling done to a very specific part of the house, and we were going on vacation during part of it. SO I hooked up my Bushnell trophy camera to sooth my paranoid nerves.. My wife said it was rude and untrusting of me.. We get back and I run through it and there was 2 videos... One of the contractors decided to snoop in my office for 2mins... NO REASON to be in there AT ALL, especially for more than 2secs, let alone 2 mins... I told the main contractor I don't trust his subs anymore due to one being caught. Wifey didn't want me to push it. So I let it go with that. Plus we'll never use those guys again.
It sucks, I hate profiling as I've always been the subject of profiling due to my hair back in the day, my ride (yellow hippy bus), and where/how late I'd be... But I totally profile people automatically and could tell this sub contractor was sketchy... I pretty much eye ball any contractor that is in my home and follow them around and "chat" making sure I feel safe when it comes time to leave them alone... I still have the video of the guy walking into my office.. bastard..
Last note, good thing is, we live on the end of a dead end that stems from a 3mile dead end at the forest.. no hiding out here with a car, no escape! Pretty damn safe with a huge dog and loads of guns/knives
that and our neighbors are all in touch and have dogs and don't like ANY car they don't recognize...

That's crazy sloth. A good contractor is hard to find. We have lots of work done at a ranch my wife owns and it just seems like every single one of them is ripping us off. We finally just chose one that charges too much up front because he and his subs seem to take less on the back end.

Yup, we just signed a contract for a new room... We choose the second from highest. Scrubs do scrub work and tend to add on "extra" charges due to forgotten requests... I pretty much can't stand any of them. I understand they need to make a buck, but seriously, they work the system.. And when the system is ME, I tend to hate a bit

Sloth, that sucks. One thing to look for or ask about is the lisence holder or foreman on site the entire time or for the majority of the time. When someone who is resonsible is on site, you have someone to bitch at that has authority to make heads roll. If its just a senior hammer swinger who is parallel to the other guys, they often just hear you out and blow it off.

Well good for you Sloth! Having been both a foreman and hammer swinger I know exactly how it goes. Trouble is, in the trades most low rank guys are not what most would consider contributing members of society. Lots of ex convicts, junkies, drunks and low-lifes. But someone needs to be paid min wage to push a wheel barrow. I fired an old friend of mine on a jobsite once, I tried giving him a chance after he proved a year of rehab and caught him using on the job. Sad story, but needless to say he is now doing 6-12 years. Sad, but true.
Seem to have lost my mojo today. Just kinda, "blah" you know? Hmm, don't know but I'll figure something out to get it back. I think I'll start by putting on some Bad Brains.
