I have been messing with my internet this morning, it is intermittent. I though it was my computer but Roku is wacky too...

Reset your router and cable by unplugging it for a min.. try that see if you get any love.. if not then blame someone like your neighbor :D

I agree! I may switch from qwest, customer service is now out of the country... they have some of the phone lines strung in the trees too I think! I had a guy out twice and he said it was a mess on their end... we don't get TV either. Who doesn't get a TV signal, lol!

I do that a lot, the phone guys seem to be camped out down the road working on it so I may just ask them directly to fix it.

Hey I did talk the PO into delivering my mail, now they deliver packages to my whole area! not to my house but much closer! :D I told them they should at least consider the environmental impact of everyone getting there mail vs one dude bringing it... pretty cool!

I now have a pro photobucket account, just upgraded this morning! :D
 
Yyaarrrrrgggghhhh!!! Just finished lunch. Uncured salami, asiago, sweet peppers on fresh sour dough. Worked in the garden pulling weeds, inspecting, and vector control. Mowed the lawn and walked the dog. Doing laundry and next is dishes. HOW IN THE HELL DID I WASTE MY DAY OFF WITH THIS CRAP!.!???

I need to sharpen some knives or something. F'it, I'm going to get a beer. I'm out.

I have played with the water stone a fair bit... need to try the other one some more. I want an intermediate stone to go before the water stone as it is a lot of fun hand sharpening. Printer paper strop... :D gets them sharp without a lot of equipment!

I have been in the shop so much that is about all I do... I'll hopefully have more time for everything soon. Making knives is a lot of fun!

I had a meeting with a client and my attorney is almost € 14,000 in the air and not pay me, the shotgun is a payment method that I'm thinking.
 
Frankjuka - the Ti tanto is more of a self defense oriented blade... depends on use. My thinner Ti blades like the Backpacker are more for EDC...

I'm doing a vid on Ti blades soon...

If you mostly use a knife to open stuff, slice rope/cloth/foam/soft woods, cardboard, meat, etc then Ti is great. For bushcraft or carving I'd stick to steel. Ti is lightweight and will not rust, steel has better edge stability and general edge holding. I don't even sharpen my persaonal Ti blades, thay have a rougher edge and just keep on cutting.

Kermmak, thanks I could use a partner in crime! Domestic duties are not something I enjoy much at all. I do them because it needs to be done, but I don't enjoy it.

Daniel, cool stuff your using that water stone. It is an interesting stone for sure! Feel free to use it how you see fit, we can compare notes and maybe come to a consensus. I have a bunch more of it ready to be lapped and used.

I use newsprint paper as a final strop on my razors. I usually use chrome oxide compound on a balsa bench strop, then plain leather, then newsprint. I sharpen all my knives freehand, even setting the bevel, all on lapping films with a granite backer. I have a bunch of extra polished marble tile if you want I can cut one for you and send you some of the lapping films I use. I go up to 12K in films.

Rolf, I'm so glad you have found good help and places for your son! A friend of mines son is autistic, relatively mild, but he has other issues that are more of his dads doing than his. His dad can't leave him alone, he will get up in the middle of the night to go sleep next to his son. He is already behind developmentally and him babying him like that doesn't help. Giving kids like them a normal life is what its all about. All the best to you and yours!


I noticed I finally getting some heirloom tomatoes in the garden! I can't wait until their ripe for picking, its going to make the most amzing caprese salad with some real water buffalo motzarella cheese from a local farm!
