Cheap Flippers

Having a rather hard time finding any of the SRM 7xxx series flippers. Still on the lookout for great flippers though!

TacForce and M-Tech are inexpensive. I used one to open a can of Gov. Surplus pork. Did not dull the blade :o

Bump to see if I can get any new recommendations. I have to apologize, but Mtech and Tac-Force knives aren't my style. Too much tactical, not enough high performance.

Benchmade 300, not super super expensive -- though not super cheap either.

Had a 300. Nice knife, but man if it isn't thick in the hand. It is a little rich for my blood, though. I was hoping to find more flippers around $80 max. I will eventually get another 300, though. I did like it.

Buck Vantage... You can get in a variety of steels and handle options. I own one and it flips great! Perfectly centered and smooth.

love this Kershaw. 25.00

I bought a Buck vantage avid force pro whatever, a whole back. An expensive knife and terribly disappointing.Great ergonomics, and love the clip, but the blade wipes the liner, the pivot feels like it's made out of plastic, and I wouldn't trust the liner lock to protect me at all. It's also darn heavy, and the flipping action is basically nonexistent. Waste of my hard earned money.

BTW, I have a strobe and it's a million times better than my Buck, although, the buck does have S30v blade. Wish I had more ideas for you because I'd be buying too.

I know what you mean. It was an impulse buy...probably my least favorite BM I own actually. If I ever decide to thin the ranks, it'll be amoung the first to go.

Oh man, a lot of suggestions are getting repeated now. I think we done ran out of options!

No, we haven't. In addition to the aforementioned RealSteel Sea Eagle, also check out their H5 Gerfalcon. Both are great flippers on bearings, with surprisingly good steel and fit and finish - they heavily outclass the Strobe at a similar price bracket. There's also the CRKT Eros SS, if you want something slim, or Graphite, if you want something different. That said, those aren't lefty-friendly options. If you hunt around, you might be able to find the Kershaw OD-2 for fairly cheap (they went for ~$20 before they were discontinued.) It's a small blade, but has a switchable clip and addictive action.
