Way too many people and companies are doing their best to "rip us a new one" with their so-called shipping and handling charges. An hour ago I was 90% through with an online order for two of these simple, thin, flat, $16 Douk-Douk French folding knives when I realized the shipping (just standard cheapest way here in the US) was going to cost me $10. I can maybe see charging me about a buck-and-a-half for a small padded envelope and under a minute for some flunky to drop those knives in and seal it shut. And I can maybe see a buck-and-a-half to cover standard postage. (Recently I got a steel pistol magazine weighing about the same in a small padded envelope that had $1.12 postage on it.) But I refuse to just toss another seven bucks into the pockets of the company that's selling those knives. I cancelled my order. The heck with 'em! I've got plenty of knives already, and I don't need theirs! Call me cheap, I don't care!
