Cheaper Busse Knives

Might be harder to find, but you could also look for Scrapyard War Dog or Scrapper 5 LE, as both of those are in Busse's INFI and have wonderful Res C handles. both should be in the $200-300 range too.

Love my War Dog!

I didn't spring for it, and it's quite a bit smaller, but there was a Magnum Bear Cub special a couple weeks ago. You may be able to find one of those.

In my opinion the RMD from Swamprat is one of the best knife values around. I never leave home without one.

I think they are available still. If you are new to the Busse world that would be an excellent start

I have bought 2 new Combat Grade Boss Streets for under $300 and i absolutely, love them! I gave $250 for one and $260 for the other. Just keep your eyes peeled. I bet someone will read this and send you a offer on something really, cool for that kind of money if you just wait long enough. These people in this forum are GREAT, people in my book! Good luck with your search and post pics when you get it.

I still have most of those and a few others if you want any comparison pics. If you wanted Busse stainless you could go with a Scrapyard mud puppy in 154CM

Scrapper 5 LE is your best choice. The INFI steel keeps up with the Busses, and the handle is very comfortable. Furthermore it's around 5 inches in size, and falls within your price range. They may range from $200 to $250 on the exchange so keep your eyes peeled!

Lots of great options for under $300.

If I remember correctly, I got my BAD, SS, Satin GW, another BAD for under $300.

Shoot, I sold a CG Ash1 with a sheath for $300 if I remember correctly.

Your best bet is to stalk the for sale forums. You can find some killer deals if you pay attention.

Occasionally you can snipe some real deals on Ebay. I have seen $1500 Busse go for $300 or less (this is super rare, because Hogs normally patrol like sharks).

Don't buy on Ebay unless you know the actual value. There are silly high prices on there for most knives. Often 2-4 times as high as you can find the exact knives priced on here.

You have to know what reasonable prices are to snipe a great deal when they occasionally pop up.

Also, you need to get up to speed on the lingo.

If you are really going to abuse the knife (aka prying, twisting etc) you want to get a thicker model.

I have a BAD, but I would not pry with it, unless it was an emergency.

Same for the CABS, but the original Boss Street is plenty stout enough for it. The CABS is strong enough for what ever I need it for, but it does have a thin tip, same as the bad.

So it helps to know what you are really looking to use it for.

Another thing to think about is direct prices from Busse, tend to be cheaper than you can find them for sale on the secondary market.

Show prices are also better, if you can go, or get a sneaky HOG to grab something for you.

there area couple basic 4 le's on the exchange right now in the 250 and below is range. The I just picked one up for myself. I can't wait to get it

Are these all yours?? If so, amazing collecting!

In the first picture what is the middle knife? The one with the hawk bill on it. That one looks great!

That's a Sus Scrofa, pretty cool knife, a lot of times you can get a deal on them.

Well I think I finally made up my mind of what I want! I have a deal in the works for it right now also!

Thank you very much for everyones help and suggestions! Pictures to come soon (hopefully)!

What did you decide to go with?

People who suffer from BRAIN Farts are the only ones who think that any Busse is worth what they charge. If you only knew how little it cost to produce them. The world if full of over priced, mass produced knives. Yes it is a good knife, BUT, it is only worth alot when it comes to braggin'. Oh! if you pay alot, it must be good. NOT!!!!
