If you are a knife maker as you claim, how much do you charge for a knife with a lifetime unconditional guarantee, regardless of how it is used...

5 inch, though your upper limit was 4.5 inches, this is thin and a very usable blade... INFI!!!

I suggest you go back to your shop and get your "TOOL"s and make something and show us how it holds up against a Busse.
I'm pretty sure Jerry will still take a public challenge, I'll be watching for the competition ;) lol...

Wow, i'm a newbie, and i've figured it out.

Just take one and use it! Don't just handle it, abuse it. Don't just look at it, cook with it, beat it, enjoy it.

Is it worth the money? That's subjective.

If you don't need the best knife around, then no. If you do, then yes.

by far one of the worst posts I have read from a new member, especially on a thread that was dead and gone. he already bought a busse or kin. regardless how you feel they are priced they have one of the biggest followings in the knife world. that has to say something about there quality. I personally love mine. they hold a edge extremely well and are easy to sharpen up. they stand up to tons and tons of abuse and keep begging for more. and they have such a amazing warranty.

I have been seeing many for under 500.00 lately even some in the 5 to 7 in blade length.

I wish to apologize if I offended any members with my use of "DYLANMW's" use of the term "Brain Fart". I also would like to clearify that I was only using this litehearted comical term to advice another member that perhaps he might concider a less expensive brand of knife. I like Busse knives alot, but don't feel a fellow knife lover should go into too deep when there are alot of other quality knives out there. If any members of the Busse knife co. think it's wrong to express one's opion, I also am sorry. I am 61 years old and have been handmaking knives for 40 plus years. I do appraisals and see alot of knives. I know what it takes me to make a knife. I will spend sometimes up to and over 100 hours on one knife and sheath. The knives I make are good knives and I have never charged $500.00 for one. I guess freedom of speech doesn't apply to me like some of the other members because I have been given a warning and told " I'd watch it if I were you" I really am sorry to all. I hope only the best for you all.

Hey, I think you have every right to express your opinion as long as it's within civilized context. BTW I saw a picture of your knives and was interested in your walnut handled bowie, and it looks great!
 
Brain farts aren't bad, it's when they turn into sharts that you get in trouble
