Cheaper overbuilt knives

Frankly, I wouldn't baton with any folder. If you do it, and the knife breaks, you've got nobody to blame but yourself.

True enough. But we all know that if Nut'n does something stupid with a knife and it breaks it obviously means the knife is inferior.

Anyways, the HEST has a terrific warranty. They would probably fix or replace the knife he intentionally bunged up.

Benchmade might fit. Look around for a mini-Rukus, as well as current models. Love the Axis lock. Their Grippies are tough as nails, light, ergonomic and in your price range.

I am stunned by the generosity on this forum. Thank you so much! I will be waiting by the window looking for it!

You are very welcome. I know it seems like a big deal to give a knife like this away but it really isn't. I accumulate a lot of passaround knives that are provided by Kai USA. Once the passaround/s are done and there isn't any more interest in some of the knives they usually end up being given away. I'm glad they end up at good homes where they hopefully get used.

Really awesome of you Morrow!!!! Love the generosity, bladeforums is such a great place!

ive never handled one, but that HULK of a folder TOPS makes (XcEST?) appears to be rather stout lol

I like that it looms so stout but it has an odd look to it. Plus that doesn't really look like a one hand open knife. I like the xcest fixed blades though. They look like they would be decent knives for bushcraft type stuff.

Just quick snapped a couple pics but tapatalk is saying adding pics had been disabled by forum administrator. Will have to try it again from a PC. About to leave for a long shift at work.
