I'm a man of little means, but I likes me some knives. I managed to score a GEC Barlow from a retailer last year, and picked up a #92 with stag handles I like (they turned out to be cracked, but such is life with stag).
Anyway, I wanted a box to store them in, and I found a shop out of Oregon that'll make custom wooden boxes from scratch for pretty much peanuts. (Non BF dealer reference removed)
I sketched up a drawing of what I wanted and sent it over to him. The box is western cedar, and a little oversized in case I end up with buttons or a larger model to store, and so I could fit my pocket slip. I asked for the dividers on the bottom to be removable so I could line the box with VCI paper.
I had him leave it unfinished, I plan to finish the outside with some boiled linseed oil. Anyway, let me know what you think!
