Thanks for sharing that! I currently have some cheap-but-actual-wool felt in the bottom of mine, but I'm thinking of going fully-lined with nicer stuff. I may get the maker to make another box with a few changes that I figured out I wanted after owning it a while.

You might try looking for a used Gerstner & Sons machinist chest. I found one from the 40s at a reasonable price and refinished it. The only problem is it didn't take me too long to fill it. I've bought two more that I need to refinish.
 
George, I've toyed with that idea. I have the habit of disassembling things for refurbishment and never reassembling them though, so while I get right up to the edge, I never pull the trigger on one.
