Check out the new album of Tweener and new Classics Porn

OMG, a REAL Camptweener!!

Ethan, thank you!!

Imagonnahaftaupgrade from my homemade 2/3% model. Aw yeah.
And the Mini-magnum??? Mmmm..... Donut.

My two most anticipated knife related purchases - mini BK2 and grivory handles for my BK14. Really looking forward to seeing this stuff in person!

I know I'm not a Beckerhead, or even a Becker owner yet (not for lack of trying), but that Camp-Tweener looks like my idea of the perfect knife, and would be impossible to resist. Count me in, and let the chips fall where they may after that (been wanting a BK10, BK2, and BK9 for forever anyhow). I guess you could call me a closet-case Becker-phile.

my campanion alarm finally went off. more than two instances where it's not speeled right, so y'all go back and fix it ;)

CAMP :) none of this comp stuff. that's for people wanting a comp or a freebie, ya know. comp me! no BK2 comps :)

Are we going to get more info after the BLADE show? Any news on the sheath?

yes, probably after Blade show ;) when after? nobody who isn't KaBar can guess. hell, i don't know :) i certainly hope to see some there... with luck, i can take pictures and report DURING the show. no promises though. camera phone quality it might have to be. free wifi would help.

sheath? probably black :) at a guess, injection molded, but all this is in flux until they show up. even then, they do revise things more often than many companies.

Fantastic! Thanks for the pics Ethan.

Looking forward to have more knives to buy; the list ain't getting any smaller.

I'm all-in for the mini-campanion! I love the handles on the new tweeners. They look like they should be very comfortable.

I just squealed like little girl who found out she is getting a pony. Those tweeners are edged sex appeal.

BK2 Tweener looks like a good bushcraft knife..............me like and want now

Ethan, I just wanted to thank you personally for creating extremely high quality knives and tools. I have been completely enamoured with my BK2. I can't thank you enough for keeping the prices at levels we regular working folk can afford. While I only own one of the Becker family, it has caused me to do something that I have not done in years. That is willingly work overtime so I can buy another BK&T slice of heaven. I also appreciate that you create actual pieces made for use and abuse. I have other knives that are nice but some feel as though they were made with the idea of profit before function. My BK2 definitely feels the opposite. It feels like you are daring me to work it harder and harder. You truly love your work and that fact shows itself every time I use my BK2.

Thanks again. Keep up the phenomenal job (and that album proves you are doing just that)

Great now i am going to have to explain why I have wood when I go back to work after lunch ..lol
I need to save more money faster, I want so many of those.

The edge geometry is not as good as the BK9, the 9 is thinner, and wider, bites deeper. The BK1 tends not to bite as deep, works better for clubbin' stuff. The flat spot on the spine is perfect for splittin' stuff. I tried all of them, the RBK, the BK9 then the Machax were my pics for top 3. The BK6 suffered from the same problem, a thicker edge. Some folks may argue, but that's my opinion.

Here's the write up.

I have nowhere your blade sharpening experience Moose, but I'm getting better. Part of that is from reading your and others posts, and simply doing it. I agree with what you said above. I find it much more challenging to sharpen some angles and thicker blades. My BK-2 generally comes out well but the old Brute is a tough case.

The heat treat on the Camillus knives was also higher, making it a little harder to do with normal stones. You can do it, but it just takes longer.

Diamonds, its a breeze.

When the new BK1 and BK6 come out, I think all of ya'll will like them. They have the same tweeks as some of the other knives, making them better cutter. That and they will now be made in the USA, making them all the more likeable.

I'm really looking forward to the mini campanion. That thing is sweet!

Yes I know bud. I never tire of looking at it\them. I understand how Mr. B views them as the culmination of his efforts\desires in many ways. These are going to hit out of the ball park.

Am I reading this correctly that the Brute and Patrol machete will be U.S. made.
