Check out this "Busse" Is it legit? TERROR MONKEY

The point isn't about my money as much as the question of how did the package get opened in the mail, the knife removed and then end up in the OP possession and an empty box get delivered to a disappointed buyer!!

( I didn't ensure it for the total sale amount and there were shipping costs and I bought a sheath but that's beside the point)

My guess is we've seen the last of Raiderbeater around these parts, but I've been wrong before.

edit: If it is true that Rb came by all or many of these knives through illegal means or purchased these knives on the black market where one must assume an items history is likely tainted by theft, and then was bold and/or stupid enough to post them all up effectively archiving the evidence, well then we have a real special case here don't we.

Just throwing this quote from another member in another thread out there:

[ "I've looked at this quite a few times since you originally posted....can't find anything either. Been interested to see who else tried.

Might I ask where you got it?

When I clicked on the images, my first thoughts were that you stole those knives, swords, and gun equipment in your ImageShack album. No offense. Just a gut feeling.

The smashed Al Mar box was the main thing. Like you threw it in a bag with all the other stuff. Maybe I've been watching too much CSI." ]

These threads make my blood boil!

He might not have been on since this got interesting. If there is indeed some dodginess going on I would guess he isn't a regular.

There are always people who think they can fool everyone and are smarter than the interwebs. They are some of my favorite people (they usually make it easy).

Edit: for clarification I'm not making accusations until we see more evidence. Caution is a good thing.

Yes, caution is wise, there are quite a few possibilities here and I am not slamming the gavel down just yet. I also completely agree that the "favourite people" you speak of are priceless in the entertainment value they provide, although it's easy to say when you have not been a victim of their exploits.

Oops sorry clarification necessary; I wasn't direcing the "be cautious" part at you or anyone in particular. By making it easy I mean we have seen this before and it ends with them being found out, identified and where there is evidence dealt with through the right channels. I don't think there is any entertainment here.

Agreed with all that, but a majority of threads are questioning what knife he has? Who buys that many things that they have no clue as to what it is? The proof is going to be where he says he got Armyof1s knife from.

Thanks for the clarification Chris. Well let's just say that I find it very entertaining when they are caught do to their own stupidity, when they evade justice, not so much.

OK, folks, let's not grab the torches & pitchforks quite yet...please keep calm and not jump to conclusions until he's had a chance to reply. Thanks.

Raiderbeater, it is very possible you've come across a knife stolen out of a shipped USPS package based on your images and one posted from ARMYof1. Are you willing to help confirm or deny this possibility and if it is the same knife and sheath, are you willing to return the knife to its rightful owner? Please respond, thank you.

When I was running a cafe I had a break in. The idiots only stole register float of $250 that was in the locked register (to a degree it was funny watching the security cam recording of them trying to open the register). They have used a bottle of whiskey (cafe was licensed) to destroy the fingerprints and broke 2 doors, some plates and caused general mess.
Now they risked getting caught, I've seen probably 10-15 people walking past the front window of a major street, for $250. It is possible that someone working for the postal service nicked a bunch of items and then sold them all at a fraction of their actual value just so he/they could pay for another high...

I'm not defending the OP, just saying that weird things do happen (my buddy got FSH off ebay for $200 once...) and we should give him a chance to come clear. If he doesn't, let the dogs pick up the scent and I'll gladly lit the pyre myself.

The most disturbing thing is this is not the first stolen knife "raiderbeater" has ended up with. Both knives that I'm aware of were stolen in transit under the possession of the USPS. Which means raiderbeater is in regular contact, either directly or indirectly, with a postal employee who is stealing.
I would personally feel obligated to bring this POS to the attention of their employer.

I'm not so sure. I could be wrong(it's never happened before, but they say there is a first time for everything:p), raiderbeater is likely not the thief. Reviewing OP's past posts shows that he frequently buys lots and then resells. He comes here to identify what he's got so he can research and price accordingly.

This is very interesting....

I don't think anyone should accuse the OP of anything at this point, that's getting way ahead of the facts, however it would be a really interesting to see if the OP could tell us where he got the Busse from.

Maybe there is something here, something big, then again maybe not.

Let's see if the OP is interested in helping out.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
here we go again...
damn these threads are getting a bit old........

A bit old? I have never seen a thread with obviously stolen property being displayed and then questioned. Not to mention that it was lost or stolen in postal transit. Which can be a federal offense.

Irrelevant

True, but we already have thread drift, and I was trying to understand how he lost $100.

Yes, I realize that your point is about a lost knife apparently resurfacing. Thank you for answering anyway, as it is instructive for other sellers here that insurance protects the seller. We assume that an honorable seller will make the buyer whole, as you did with yours.

Unfortunately, if a mod doesn't email raiderbeater, this knife will have been sold by the time raiderbeater is made aware that it is stolen property. He signed off prior to the posts bringing this to light and hasn't been back since.
