Check out this "Busse" Is it legit? TERROR MONKEY

Armyof1 sold this knife to OBX351. It disappeared in the mail and OBX351 received any empty box. The OP, raiderbeater, came across this knife. This is not the first knife stolen while in the possession of the USPS that has ended up in raiderbeaters hands (another is linked earlier in this thread). Busse knives don't come with sheaths. Armyof1 had a red and black kydex sheath made for his terror monkey. The sheath in the OP is red and black kydex...

That was his story when he was questioned about some of the knives he has tried to I'd in the past

The point isn't about my money as much as the question of how did the package get opened in the mail, the knife removed and then end up in the OP possession and an empty box get delivered to a disappointed buyer!!

( I didn't ensure it for the total sale amount and there were shipping costs and I bought a sheath but that's beside the point)

Yep, it's still theft and since it was in the post office it's a federal crime.

I think this had some potential in terms of perhaps the beginning of the trail to figure out how some knives are 'lost' by USPS.

It would have required some help from the OP, and we aren't going to get that....

Must be a certain office these knives are going through. That shouldn't be that hard to figure out

Raiderbeater, I sentcha an email just a few minutes ago. (EDIT: in case you've not seen it yet) :) Glad you are back. Thank you for reaching out to the parties involved.

Everybody watching this thread is like:

I know I am... ;):D:rolleyes:

After having been ripped off on a trade here on BFC and once off a purchase on Ebay I tread very carefully. Never again. :thumbdn::thumbdn::thumbdn:

I admit I was wrong, Raiderbeater is back and with a basic membership too, this is getting very interesting indeed!

Sorry to burst everyone's bubble about catching a crook....although that would have made a great story....it isnt the case. The S-Corp I operate with my two brothers buys large quantities of estate, storage, and freight auction lots.

The exact way we legally obtain these knives and other items was disclosed to the moderator Jaxx and to the original shipper. Thanks! (please ask them if you need reassurance about the way I/we come by them). I dont mind telling you by IM either.

A few Supermods have done some digging...they're great like that. :)
From what they have found, and what I've read, Raiderbeater checks out, which is why I asked everyone to keep calm.
I hope that you guys find an agreeable solution over this knife & sheath.

I'm happy to hear that Raiderbeater is in the clear but a crime has been committed and he is holding the evidence. It would be nice if there were some way to trace this knife back to the USP worker and bust his ass. Hopefully the appropriate parties will take action and there will be an investigation.

The knife has not been involved in a crime at all and wasn't stolen (neither was the other knives mentioned in this thread from the past). Jaxx is aware of the details.

Raiderbeater has a reasonable explanation for how he came into possession of my knife. Apparently he is involved with a company that buys from the United States Postal Service items that are lost, unclaimed or confiscated that are sold in bulk lots. Which is also why other post of his are asking about the value and some even reference knives that were lost in shipping. I apologize for jumping to conclusions that it was stolen that was just my assumption.
The box that the hell razor was in was returned to me and it had the side torn out and was taped up with the knife and sheath missing. It is plausible that the knife burst through the side of the box during shipping due to ruff handling and lay on the floor or in a truck with no way to tell where it came from as the box that it was then continued on in transit minus the knife. The postal worker who was delivering the package to the address, taped the box up and didn't know the contents were missing. When the buyer received the box he could tell there was nothing in it because it obviously didn't have the weight of hunk of INFI steel in it and the side had a 4" tear in it that was taped up. The Postal Service marked the box damaged and returned it to me. I filed the insurance claim because there was nothing in the box. My money was reimbursed by the Postal Service for the amount of insurance I put on the package. Then the hell razor then went to some kind of lost and found auction that the USPS service has and raiderbeater bought it. I don't have any claim on the knife anymore so raiderbeater is free to do what he pleases with it. I was reimbursed by the Postal Service and he scored a good deal, I would assume, on a great knife.
