Unless you're doing the work yourself, that will cost a lot and double the price of the knife.
Even if you're doing the work yourself, I'm not sure it's worth the time just to devalue the knife.
Like Barrett said, somebody would trade you for a Bullnose and probably kick a few bucks in as well.

This is true and a good point

Well a very nice man in the USA (on this forum) has contacted me out of the blue and is sending me his new black sudbuster at cost price.

I had no chance of getting one in the UK,black was also the colour I liked best.

I cant help feeling that this is a nice place to hang around and chat.

I will get some quality bottles of Cider in ready to use that bottle opener,I cant wait. 😍

I have owned several #71s but I have rarely kept them as they have made for excellent gifts, being one of the more budget friendly GECs out there (well, they used to be...). I think I will hang on to this one though.

Until this morning I had totally missed that GEC issued a 71 with a cap lifter!!! Brilliant. Hard days work can end with a cold one :)

I’ve been off bladeforums for a while (knife addiction was getting ridiculously expensive). Came back when I saw this 71 with a cap lifter. If anybody has one that would be willing to hook me up and sell one in good shape (not at eBay price) please shoot me a PM. I moved from NJ to Texas and get weird looks when I flip my Shiro out to cut things when working on ranches. Would love to have one of these as a work knife. I think this would offer the utility and cool factor I need for a daily knife on my belt here.
