I only have a black Micarta in hand - no rub on my example. Oil and flush yours If you haven’t already.

Yeah there is a lot of black goop coming out and it is smoothing out. Very strong pull on this one.

It'll be fine either way. I plan on beating it up.

The caplifter on my NCM was the same. You can see where it rubbed the liner a bit near the pivot, but with some oil and working it open and closed a bit, and with a week or so of carrying/use, the action is pretty good now.

Natural just arrived. The action on this one wasn’t as good as the black Micarta. I oiled and flushed it - action improved to be comparable to the black linen after 10 - 15 minutes of work.

There was a bit more rub on the natur vs the black. Seems to be pretty consistent with what others have reported.

Going to get the patina starated.

I dipped the blade and caplifter into brass tarnishing solution.

I decided to polish this one up. It wasn’t an easy job, but I’m happy with the results.

I got mine a few days ago. Very happy with it. Blades are centered, feels good in hand. Only complaint is it didnt come sharp.
