Chicago Custom Knife Show... Yes/No?

There are some good sushi joints around there as well. Can't go wrong with either type of food. Mirai is one of the best around...but it is not cheap.

Been thinking of a sushi place downtown that aint
gonna cost an arm and a leg.
Happen to see a show on PBS (public TV) here
that is called "Check Please"
They reviewed a place called OYSY and it looked good!
Not really expensive either.(for a downtown michigan ave place)
(actually, its about average for a little lower compared to
many of the sushi places ive been to here in the city, even the sleazy ones)
Here is a link to the website, can check out the menu

If you guys are staying at the sheraton,
thats here

the restarant is south of #4 Buckingham Fountain,on michigan ave.
I would guess about a mile or so away.
Nice walk, might be a good thing thurday night?

Ive never been to Silver Seafood.
I think I saw that one on CheckPlease too.
Might be too far from the hotel, most likely they will
just wanna walk around since there is a lot to see downtown.
Maybe not,I dunno....
Green Mill, remember, your talkin about rlarge and Inmate Horton
I dont think a place like that would even let them in the back door. :D

Hit Twisted Spoke for a "fatboy" burger and a large selection of beers, plus some bike parts stuck into the walls.

i'll cuff Horton and tell em it's official business

There is a good shrimp joint just a hair west of Cabrini that I used to hit on Division. It's on the southside of the street just west of the river. Can't remember the name of it though. Cabrini is no longer the menacing place it was once known for. It is now surrounded by nice yuppie joints. Unless you decide to go into the high rise low income apartments on your own. My uncle used to work for an electric company in NYC. He got stuck in some pretty shady situations, but was smart enough to tell the guys lookin to mug or beat him that if they did so, everyone in the place would loose electricity for the next month. He said that saved him more times than he'd like to remember.

Any place on Check Please tends to be a pretty good joint. Can't go wrong with their recommendations. Lookin forward to Saturday night...should be a good time.

I think Friday is the only night I will be able to be there. Gonna drive up with momma and she is goin to see her friends. I'm gettin dropped off at the sheraton, so I guess Ill be hangin out at the bar until someone spots me. I'll be wearin my Horton shirt, of course....
