i got a box in the mail today, when i opened it i pulled out a beautiful camo echo. as i admired it i noticed something i have never seen on a ken onion... CHINA. how many other chinese onions are there. i did not know that they existed. it is an excelent knife but i was still a little dissapointed.

Don't be disappointed. Chinese Kershaws are still better than most american made knives from other manufacturers. I can't wait for the chinese O So Sweet!!! Hurry up ya'll!

The Outcast, Echo, and Vapor's, are the Onion designs made in our facility in China.

Well everyone knows what an Outcast, Echo, and Vapor looks like (been out for years)...don't they?

I actually had to look up what an Echo is, but that's not saying much.

Ah, supersponge, the master says you must soak up more knowledge as the camel drinks from the fountain...only then will the student pass the teacher!

I will NEVER by a Kershaw or Ken Onion knife Made in China, EVER!! NEVER!! and I mean NEVER. Matter of fact I will never buy ANY knife made in China.

BTW - I LOVE Kershaws and own quite a few, but made in China?
That would be the last straw.

(Sorry, had to let off some steam, but I've had it with "Made in China".)

rant over-

ya know i use to feel the same way. but now ive kinda changed my attitude and realized that we are all human with the same potential to learn. i use to turn my head at anything made in china and then over time i asked myself why dont i care about knives from italy, germany or england. i admit much of the things made in china are of low quality but i find that more with companies who refuse to stand behind a product so much as to never even put there name on it (flea market knives) so maybe if you love kershaws and own many of them maybe just check out one of these knives before totally writing it off. Because these days ive learned that With kershaw you didnt just buy a knife, you bought piece of mind, and i believe that to be true for anything they put their name on.

Well you don't have to act so childish about it
Even some benchmades are now made in China (plus some high-end Nike shoes etc.)
I'm sure Kershaw has strict QC there as well...
