Chop House Thick and Lean Cut

I'll add 1111's are perfect. I can't wait til my arm is healed and I can chop again.

I don't need another knife. I don't need another knife. I like the tan res c. Trying to picture it with the muddy blade..... Anybody have a pick of a knife with that combo?

I doubt it. I think this may be the first time it's been offered.

I wish I had as much will power as some of you guys, but I can't pass it up.

LOVE Res-C, wish it was an option on all knives (at least the larger ones). Just my experience, but it seems the tan has more grip to it than the black and prefer it for a user.

Color combo's make the ordering process even more of a deliberation. Moss isn't for everyone, but it is one of the most durable coatings I have found.

That is good to hear. I haven't chopped a damn thing with my new 1111 yet but just brought home a log. Just got an MMD too and still could not resist the thick cut, yikes.

I'm sure many people pointed this out already but both lean and thick descriptions on the website say 3/16".

Looking forward to this one. I love Res-C.

Is that Muddy finish or Sage in the picture of the Chopper on the 1st page of this thread ?
Wana order Thick one just like it.

I do believe that's a Sage coating. Nice choice.

The Muddy is a darker brown with a thick texture.

From playing with the prototypes I am leaning towards the 3/16" version. It is wicked fast in the hand.

Garth

Like E/C, I have MANY Bussekin knives, but that didn't stop me from ordering the Chop-House special!:D:thumbup:

Yep, after seeing Garth's thoughts, and Dan saying it was gonna be his new hunting carry on the Yard forum, and Tom diving in, I went for a Chop House Thin!
I R so gonna be in trouble...

Oh yeah, where is Bravado to shoo us off his lawn?!!??!?? :p

Geometry cuts. As long as the shoulder is nice and skinny, yer good. Someone smart said that once... Or three times about geometry. Hmmmmmm.

Yeah that's sage. I got the same. I have the ASH1 BG in muddy and I prefer the sage especially with tan RES-C. Muddy is more like a brown crayon. Could just be called "brown".

I'm sure the 1/4" will be awesome too and fast enough for me... if not I'll just have to go play with one of my Ratweilers and make due :)

I really love the 1111. In my opinion it's a true Basic Battle Mistress.

What happened to your arm if I may ask?

I hurt it this spring while doing overhead bench press. Then somehow was lucky enough to get tennis elbow in the same arm. So, I've been in therapy and letting it heal well.

I'm thinking of springing for one of these but may have to wait for someone to sell one they don't want.

I want a chopper with more power and handle comfort than my GSO-10. I guess that means 1/4", but I just know I'll have to strip the finish and grind the bevels down to an edge-thickness <0.035 to get it to perform the way I want...

As a gym rat myself who's had the same injuries + more. There's a book 7 minute rotator solution, it really helped me
in getting my bench & standing press back. Just thought I'd toss this out, you may already have it or know it.
As for the tennis elbow I was also told to eat a high protein bar or drink before workout and that it helps to relieve or reduce it.
Seems to work for me ? was something a sports medicine Doc told me ?
Hope it heals up soon for you
