Chopping videos in HD, 29+ Knives, axe, hatchet and saws (+ new SARGE 7)

Wonder how the 1311 would have compared with these other beasts? Or a sharp 18 inch Ontario for that matter.

How about the 1311 vs. a sharp 14" Tramontina?

I've only done a little side-by-side work with these two, but on soft or green wood the machete actually does a nice job keeping up. In heavier work though, the flex in the thinner blade stock on the Tram becomes noticeable and I felt like the blade was more likely to try to roll on impact.

Sort of an apple to orange comparison, but I like seeing the big constrasts between the lightweight thin stock and thinned convex, shaving edge on the machete vs. the thicker, heavier 1311 considering they are nearly identical in overalll length.

Bottom line for me so far is that the 1311 is more powerful and can handle a wider scope of work, has a much better handle, and is all-around awesomer. :thumbup:
