It’s beautiful. Now knowing that the inlays are warrantied by CRK, I’ll be spending the extra $100. I’ll be happy with the extra width and enhanced grip, and it’s just prettier to look at.
 
It doesn't matter what we think of micarta: do YOU like it enough to reach for your wallet?

If that's what you're hoping to accomplish, then the micarta inlays definitely do both of those things.

99% of women surveyed stated that they thought that men who spent the extra for micarta inlays on their CPKs were hot. (Is it that they have fatter wallets, or does that level of taste and style just make women weak in the knees? I suppose we'll never know for certain.)

But...who am I to argue?

I don't think those inlays are worth what they're charging for them, especially the micarta ones.

I bought a large 31 with the faux ivory inlays and it looks cool, but in my opinion not $100+ more than the standard cool. The inlays also make the knife itself a bit thicker which can be good or bad depending on your taste. I personally prefer a slimmer profile for the pocket.
