For sale I have a Chris Reeve Sebenza. It's in the style of a 21, but it's older so they weren't officially called that back when I bought it. It has snakewood inlays. I bought it from Knifeart. I carried it in the belt sheath for awhile, but was always too scared to cut much of anything with it. (I think I used it at Christmas one year to open packages) Anyway there are a couple small scuff marks on either side of the blade near the pivot. I'm guessing this is from wear in the sheath? Other than that, it's pretty great. I have the all the original box, wrench, and paperwork and I'll even include the gfeller sheath as well. I am asking $350 shipped for everything. Continental United States only please.

The first person who sends me a paypal of 350 dollars to rabidleper@hotmail.com and sends me their shipping address can have it. Thank you

Why would you pay when I already posted "I'll take it"? Very poor form. Good luck with your refund.

Well the sale does say first person to send money, not first I'll take it.

Check my feedback...not my first rodeo. I posted "I'll take it" and emailed and pm'ed the seller within a minute to confirm I was first and to let him know I was ready to PayPal asap. I wasn't about to send payment along with 5 others at the same time. This is not how we do business on here.....

Great way to get 5 payments at once. I'll start doing this with my sales threads.

Ok. Now I'm confused guys. I didn't think anyone would jump on this so fast. Sorry to write the post in a confusing manner. I have the a payment from Victor already so I guess I should go with him...you know, the whole bird in the hand sort of thing. I'm sorry about that dtmbinb. I am honestly brand new at Blade Forums and am just selling a few of my knives so I can get a rowing machine. You guys on here are so high speed it makes my head spin. I really am sorry about that.

We shouldn't ask others to just send payments at will. How do you know how many people will pay at the same time? This was very poor form. I posted "I'll take it" and contacted you immediately to confirm and pay. My feedback speaks for itself.....

Just for clarification, the first person stating "I'll take it" is the first person that should have the opportunity to purchase the item. NOT the first person to send the payment. Also, you should not post your email (Paypal addy) in the thread. That should be done via PM or email. IMHO the item should be sold to dtmbinb as he was first to acknowledge intent to purchase. Funds should be refunded to Vactor as that action was lacking ethics.

We have a very nice community here and we would like to keep it that way.

Sorry to clog up your thread but I thought you should know.

Take care

Can always refund secondary, tertiary (and so on) payments immediately. Do the "site rules" for sales state something specific about this?

Morally, it would be best to sell to the first "I'll take it." but, technically (unless site rules state otherwise), it would be best to sell to the member who followed your posted instructions.

Just want to clarify...nowhere in the original sales post does it say PayPal "gift", correct?

The seller has been very good about communication and we worked it out. I have sent PayPal payment and he will be refunding the other guy's funds. All and all, he tried very hard to do the right thing. I just wanted to publicly thank MrNyfe for being ethical and welcome him to the forums.

mr. nyfe, just read two or three other sales threads and THEN you'll know exactly the terminology that is commonly used here.
(I figured the whole thing was fishy when I saw his Avatar)
Welcome aboard, sir.

Glad to hear that MrNyfe did the right thing. Good job and welcome to the forum.

The seller does have a right to sell it to anyone but the BF exchange works so well and has a good reputation because certain protocols are followed which makes it fair for everyone. This isn't the wild west, dtmbinb should have gotten first shot at it. The seller is new here though so I can also understand his position. Touchy situation indeed. Glad it worked out in the end.
