I know we are not supposed to chat in a sales thread, but in this case, I feel it warrants it........I am glad the RIGHT thing came about in the end. I know there will be hurt feelings, but in some ways its part of the First " I will take it " post. I have been subject to lots of missed opportunities as of late by sellers that skipped over that even and sold to others. I do get pissed sometimes, but figure in the end, it was not meant to be mine............So much on the forums is a learning process and I would suggest to the mods that there should be a "sticky" put on top of all sale threads that states the Right Way to do business here, not so much for us veterans, but for the newbies. Anyways, glad things worked out for dtmbinb and the right thing was done in the end.

To MrNyfe, welcome to Bladeforums.com.........SO GLAD I am not saying Googleknife.....lol.

It's this type of interplay and sense of fair play that gives us all confidence to buy here on the forum. (and sell)

Just for clarification, the first person stating "I'll take it" is the first person that should have the opportunity to purchase the item. NOT the first person to send the payment. Also, you should not post your email (Paypal addy) in the thread. That should be done via PM or email. IMHO the item should be sold to dtmbinb as he was first to acknowledge intent to purchase. Funds should be refunded to Vactor as that action was lacking ethics.

great, nice way to say that the first person who ACTUALLY DID WHAT THE SELLERS INSTRUCTIONS TOLD THE BUYER TO DO is in your eyes "lacking ethics". i suppsoe that one can just insert any terms of sale that are most convenient to any particular buyer, regardless of what the posting says and then say that the person who actualyl does what's expected is wrong. i settled my issue with the seller without any issue, but i think your assertion is abseless and without any knowledge of what happened and you should keep your ridiculous coommetns to yourself instead of indicating some lack of ethics on my part for doing what the selleer requested.

Again, not supposed to comment in sales threads, but this comically reminds me of Black Friday at Walmart. It's a knife. A decent deal. No need to throw virtual "fisticuffs" or hurl unsavory epithets at anyone over it. I disagree with how this sales offering was handled, but good grief.

A couple thoughts:

--Vactor did precisely what the OP requested.
--OP should have done more research before posting a sales thread--needs to learn the BF "system."
--The amount of feedback a person has in no way guarantees them precedence on a sales thread, unless stated in said sales thread.
--The "I'll take it" stipulation in a sales thread is purely up to the seller's discretion as to whether he uses it or not. Personally, I don't use it and "reserve the right to do business with whom I choose, as do you" instead. There are plenty of characters on BF that I would rather not do business with, despite the fact they post "I'll take it."

Please note that I am not pointing fingers or trying to hurt anyone's feelings with these observations, I am simply stating my thoughts.

All I can say is I am glad I am not the judge in this case. No rule says "I'll take it" has to be in the sale thread. And then a little research would have pointed that out. Vactor did just want the sell asked. No way this could end up with out hurt feelings. I will say if I see another CRK like this at a similar price I will let Vactor know right away. Only my .02

Nice job to everyone that helped to derail this thread. Looks like you all need to reread the rules.
This is exactly how NOT to behave in the Exchange.
