Nothing, nada, zip, zilch.... dry as a bone. Nevada better get some snow or they will run out of water soon.

Hey... did I catch this 12/7 DOTD thread just as it was posted? I just logged on to see what I missed, & there was this great deal on a bolo staring me in the face. I must have great HI karma to just wander in after being gone all weekend and be perfectly synchronized with the DOTD. I sure must have been a good guy in my past life!

I am interested in the 15 inch 24 ounce villager fit and finish Ang Khola, email is being sent.

To me that is the pick of today's bladed offerings ...maybe I will get an ear pieced so I can buy those ear rings for myself sometime?

Kukulza, will it be your first HI Khuk?

If you got it, I hope you enjoy a lifetime of its company.

Awesome choice. the 15" AK is a great blade for the relatively small size and weight (compared to the big choppers), and a villager will save ya a few bucks. Plus, they have that ready-to-use quality.

Yes, it's my first. And thanks, I hope so too. I've never really used a kukuri, never mind had one. I'm sure it'll be hours of discovery sharpening and using this Ang Khola... and you know if I don't end up enjoying the kukuri as much or more than the machetes and bolos I am familiar with... no big deal :)

Yup. I am familiar with machetes and bolos... but axes and kukuris are new territory for me. I saw the $65 Ang Khola, in a smaller big-blade package (15") and I jumped on the opportunity.
Never used a legitimate kukuri before... I hope this'll be good. :D

Congrats kukulza28, on your 1st HI Khukri!!
I , to am somewhat new to Khukris 'tho I have been a avid Sword/Saber collector for some time.
I really like how the different blades seem to have distinct "personalities"... and so far I have not had any problems whatsoever with sharpening them and other wise enjoying the blades.
The Khukri virus is one "bug" I don't mind having... and my Wife also enjoys the different blades and the great items MS Yangdu has for us, and the fact that the proceeds from the sales go to the Kamis to allow them to earn an income while producing such Unique, Good-looking and Functional blades makes a Wonderful combination!!

I was gone all day yesterday, and that's probably a good thing. ;)

Great bolo, but I have to remind myself that I'm holding out for one in neem.

Congrats to all you goodie-grabbers. :D

When I send an email to Yangdu, is she going to reply me before sending it out, or do I just pay as soon as I receive it?
This is my first time ordering on this forum. I just want to make sure I'm not doing anything wrong.

@ DocH
Glad to hear the kukuri virus bug isn't a bad one... cause I know for sure I got a machete/golok/bolo one...

@ MaChete
Thanks! :D

she is probably waiting for payment. Paypal, Visa or MC, customarily payment is recieved before shipment begins.
If you havent heard from her, you might need to email her again, if you used Outlook express.

All is explained here. Read thoroughly
payment info is about 1/2 way down and in the link. under A Few Details.

Something I like about khuks as opposed to lighter blades like goloks, machetes and such is that you can really smack whatever you're chopping without worrying about severe handle cracks or the blade bending. Even the medium and small ones are thick and sturdy. Mind you, I practically never do full-force chops (as a safety precaution, to increase my chances of stopping the occasional glanced blow), but it's good to know the tool can take it.

Anyway, I hope you get the AK and enjoy it, and can share your impressions with us either way.
