Christmas Eve Gift 2011 - Winner: ranchmanben

TLARbb, thank you for the chance. I've never heard of this tradition but it sounds like a gas. :D

Merry Christmas to you and all of the Traditional Forum members :thumbup:

If I win, I promise to pay it forward. Thanks for the chance!

Hi Ed, a great give - away that has a neat surprise theme to it, great idea for Christmas!, This isnt an entry, but Merry Christmas mate.

I'll take part in this......Is it gonna be one of those single blade canoes you've got? I sure hope so!!! Thanks......

Today is the last day of the give away. Ends at 12:00 midnight CDT this evening. - Ed J

Thanks for the chance Ed. Very generous way to get closer to Christmas. After all, a Gift (to men) is the deep meaning of this day, and the reason for the season as you wrote. :)
...It would also be nice if, as for any Christmas gift, the knife remained "secret" until the winner opens it.

I think that is the appropriate thing to do myself. I'm going to edit the OP to this effect.

Count me in. Thank you for the chance, and Merry Christmas to all of the forum members and their famlies.

The winner is post #9 - ranchmanben! Please email me you mailing address so I can get your "Christmas Eve Gift" to you by Christmas Eve. It is acceptable to open this package on Christmas eve (hopefully this is self evident). Also please post a picture of your knife so everyone who is following the thread can see what you have received. Thank you for entering the give away and have a very Merry Christmas!!!

Thanks for the chance, if I'll win it will be my first time to have Christmas gift, but on the other hand I'm getting Hanuka gifts :D

Mike

I'm not sure if this is the correct way to say it, but "Happy Hanuka" Mike. Thanks for entering the give away. Maybe I'll do a Hanuka give away next year. You never know.... :)

Thanks to everyone that entered the give away. A whole lot of people looked at this thread, but a surprisingly small number entered the give away. I guess people are not that interested in getting something they don't know what it is in advance. No matter, just means that the folks that do enter have a better chance to win. I plan to do this every year, so watch for it next December.

Congrats to the winner and thanks again Ed for the giveaway.

This is a great community here on Blade Forums, I am so glad I found it. I'm not sure if my wallet feels the same way though :D

Ed, thanks for the giveaway. I'm glad you liked my suggestion :)
And, of course, congrats to Ben for his win. I have no idea of what knife he will get, but I'm sure it will be a fine knife.
Merry Christmas everybody!

Ed, this was a generous and fun thing for you to do and I salute you for it. The reason I didn't enter, and this may apply to a bunch of folks, is that I felt like I hadn't been hanging around here long enough, and hadn't contributed enough yet, to partake in the generosity. But by next year, I hope that's different! :D

Cheers and Merry Christmas!

Andrew

Congrats Ben and thank you Ed for the chance.
