I'm not entering because I've been fortunate enough to win more than a few GAW's, but thank you for the generosity and I'd like to share anyways.

My favorite Christmas movie is probably The Santa Clause.

This is my favorite Christmas song.

Btw this new recording from Eric Clapton isn't bad either.

Movie- Scrooged. Song- The Christmas Song by Nat King Cole. Album- Brian Setzer Orchestra, all the Christmas ones.

Edit to add- as a family we really like Fred Clause and Christmas Vacation. And I have my grandmothers copy of Liberace Christmas on vinyl I play every couple years

Wait...what! What ever happened to "One goes out they all go out" That bulb next to your Vic is clearly out! Your Christmas lights are clearly defying the laws of physics sir.

I think they make them differently now. I miss the large coloured bulbs that got hot when they were turned on. Maybe they were hazardous.

Saw it once on television, I think. I just don't think of it as a Christmas movie, I guess. It's an action movie that takes place during the Christmas season.

I liked it, though. Willis kills all the bad guys and saves a lot of people.
Yes, Die Hard. Kind of a joke post, but a lot of people do consider it a Christmas movie. Large debates on whether it truly is every year.

Probably my true favorite:

I whole-heartedly agree that the 1984 George Scott version is THE Christmas Carol. The Christmas Present ghost was Edward Woodward, of TV fame as The Equalizer. My family watched that every week.

Great to see your generous traditional Christmas giveaway continuing another year Randy :) Tempting as it is, having won a few years ago, I'll give someone else a chance

I have to say that, since the shops here start playing Christmas songs here at the end of October, I am usually rather sick of them by the time Christmas actually comes! A few I like :) Here's one from when I was a kid, which surprisingly, still gets played

(My Youtube feed will now be cursed!)

Traditional British TV Christmas films don't tend to have much to do with Christmas, an example being The Great Escape

Great film, but I'll go with The Long Kiss Goodnight - More knife content than The Great Escape! ;) :D

Thanks for doing this Randy, good luck everyone, and have a great Christmas folks

Long Kiss Goodnight was a great movie, and I think would be even if one weren't besotted with Geena Davis.
But Christmas movie as in movie concerning Christmas, The Bishop's Wife. Cary Grant as an angel, David Niven as the bishop, and it's pretty unusual for me to remember the actors' but not the actress's name.

Favorite Christmas Carol, I Saw Three Ships Come Sailing In, for its rousingness, but I wonder if Herp Alpert's Tijuana Christmas is still lying around here somewhere.

Scrooged was great, but I have it memorized and I turn it off when Carol Kane hands him off.
The Alistair Sim as Scrooge Christmas Carol has Patrick Macnee as the other clerk in Scrooge's job at Fezziwick's. He's already doing that curious shimmy he was still doing in the Avengers, possibly a relic of the old stage days when an actor would stamp his foot so you'd be looking his way when he started his line.
Then there's the Leo G Carrol as Marley Christmas Carol. I get the two B&W versions confused.

So I guess I'm in. Thanks for the chance.

I have a picture of lambsfoots in a sleigh, but I can't find it.
