Who has stories? Use an Espada XL to open a present and scared the aunts? Try to be suave with your SAK to open a clamshell and cut your hand, bleeding on the kids toys?

I’ve already decked the halls with red and green Steingass hunters:

Sorry for the crappy pic.

Looking forward to a fun Christmas!

Just busted out my 4V Manix 2 to open a box and my mother in law let out an “UGH...Jesus...that’s a scary knife”. Then 5 mins later asked me to cut tags off stuff. Glad she got over it so quickly.

I was just thinking about what to put in the pocket for tomorrow morning. Has to be useful and also able to be opened and closed by the wife and child. Tricky.

It's going to be a few....
This Jarrod Todd finger knife is a box/wrapping/package laser!! In AEB-L steel and very easy to keep hair whittling.

Probably a few traditional slip joints from GEC as well.

Last year. Sharpened our #1 kitchen knife on the Sharpmaker. Started getting the turkey (Christmas turkey) ready for the oven. Cut the butt- trim some extra skin. Anyway my wife come over to inspect my work. She says, “Damn that’s a bloody turkey!”
I sliced the tip of my thumb off and I didn’t even know it. I surprise her with the super glue. My thumb isn’t flat because I glued the hunk that was hanging back in place!

I just rattled a box that’s the right size for a knife, sure sounds like a knife...

That skull table cloth is sweet.

Pfft..... Being a short 120lb redhead girl, every time I whip out a knife to open something or trim a thread it garners some sort of comment from someone. Don't mess with a well equipped ginger.

BTW, I plan to use a blue/purple Spyderco Military, Benchmade Casbah auto or a Fallkniven F-1 to open gifts tomorrow. All 3 will be in my bag so I can choose which one will fit the occasion.

I dont have much interesting stories. I carry a blade and multi tool. I go to familys house and im the go to when something needs to be cut open, unscrwed as they usually use a butter knife.

Just got home from a family Christmas eve party where the kids each got a gift to open and the adults exchanged gifts. Six adult male at thew party and I am the only one with a knife in his pocket. Needless to say my knife got a workout. My son left his in his car. Lotta good it does him there. 30 years ago 5 of the 6 would have had a knife!
