Wow, I never seen anyone get a whole collection for Christmas! Nice knives, though I can't believe Queen let that F&W get out the door!
I actually also got a CS Spike Hawk and two Buy Brown sheaths for two of my Busse knives (they did not "need" the sheaths, as I make leather, but I left the two knives I really wanted to take at home on a 2 day canoe trip this year because I only had leather sheaths for them. I had to "Settle" for a slightly smaller knife that already had a BB sheath.
I went irresponsible this year for Christmas. I went for an all knife Christmas (outside some surprise PS3 game and stuff from my wife). I was going to go "all traditional" but strayed for the sheaths and the Hawk.
On a side note, I believe I am also going to bug a fellow forum member here for another thing from him (he sold me the two sheaths.......and he might have an extra Fiddleback Machette that I want to buy from him). But that, also, would not really be a "traditional" knife?
Thanks for the comments.
I guess I could get a Ben Hogan to match the Sunfish? I hope they release a Hogan frame in a "jack" style with a warncliff secondary!
Of course, the large bolster 1/2 courthouse with the Un-x-ld stamp is calling my name. I was hoping they would release it in a nice brown jigged bone (like the sunfish).
I guess I could go with the yellow smooth, or the green jigged (or the ivory, but I am hesitant about the ivory. it is a bit more, but from what I hear, the ivory is also more delicate than bone?).
The Gunboat/Canoe Pardue/Queen collab was one that worried me before seeing it. I bought that on on impulse, only because the Small Burke/Queen barlow was sold out (it sold out on another site where I had been looking at it for months, I guess I should have ordered before eating dinner!).
Really, the only thing I would change (outside the edges, which is expected) would be the pull on the outside spear. It is very light. I know a lot of people like that though. I like a pull that borders on "nail breaker" for some reason.
