I have been wanting a buck titanium knife since I was a kid. A month ago I order a new one from eBay. I open the knife to find the front rivet holding blade on was loose enough I could move it out with my fingers.
So I talk to Sylvia at buck warranty. She said she would fix it or have them replace it with one from the vault
. I got it back in the same shape. Has anyone else had the buck forever lifetime warranty let them down like they did me.
I am about going to mail Sylvia a roll of toilet paper and recommend her start printing the warranty cards out in it. Cause it’s full of sh. She is a lair along with their warranty.

I have never used the buck warranty luckily. you got some pictures?

That's a bit full on, I once sent a 50th anniversary 110 back that was off center and badly ground, they were absolutely fantastic to deal with. Sent me back a brand new one that was 100% perfect. And sorry, but I always feel if someone is going to have a go at a company you need to at least post pictures to show you're being legit about your complaint. For all we know you could just be trying to make a manufacturer look bad for whatever reason. Also just give them a call, clearly something got mixed up in the process?

Sorry. That's a real bummer.
The 560 has been discontinued for some time, and unlike discontinued models with other handle materials I believe all the 560 titanium was outsourced, so Buck having a stack of it laying is pretty slim.

Was the knife like new in box or used? Buck, from what I understand, does their best to repair at their discretion. You might also post your question on the Buck board here at BFC or email or PM a moderator of that sub forum. They are here at BFC because they want to represent the company. No pun intended, but if you want answers on your particular knife from this site, the buck stops with them.

Good luck!

Wow, that is loose! I think I would also have some anger for the selling of said "new" knife if they didn't disclose that when they sold it to you.

I am super pissed off

But apparently the techs at buck are not able to handle such a difficult task of repairing knifes under their toilet paper warranty

I cannot return it . Had the choice to but buck insisted I return it to them.
Sylvia promised me it would be fixed she would handle it personally.
Where I come from that is called being dishonest. All requirements met

Maybe send it back to them with a note about the issue. Or call them to see why they did nothing. Sometimes happens to most warranty claims from different brands. They often miss the issue.

Why would not they have done their best job the first time. Maybe they were in a hurry to enjoy their Xmas break.

Take it easy. You're pissed, and I get that. But it's just a knife.
You have basically four choices.

1) Demand the fleaBay seller accept a return for full refund, in which case, no harm no foul.
2) Send it back to Buck, which really does have a very good warranty and give them another chance to fix it.
3) Get a gold membership and sell it here on the exchange.
4) Pout about it, make accusations, and whine about toilet paper.

I'm tagging Jeff Hubbard from Buck. If anyone will know the answer and how best to fix this, it's him and he deserves to know.

Titanium does wallow out. It's tough but it's a bit soft. That's why you see steel inserts on titanium frame locks a lot of times. The harder steel will wear on the titanium frame. It could just be the pin or it could be an issue with handle as well. The 560 has been out of production for a while I believe. That's some pretty old stock the seller has. It doesn't excuse the pin issue, but it's not something Buck produces any more.

Once again, I would contact the forum mod. One of them will probably be able to get you in front of the right person to fix or replace your knife. Or you could keep calling the warranty toilet paper if you like. I honestly think talking to a Mod would be your best bet.

I don't understand the issue as a "Buck" issue, you stated it is new NIB, well it obviously isn't so I would have gone back to the seller first.

I am also curious about your timeline, you ordered a month ago, received it, sent it off and got it back from Buck already?
From Buck's Website:

WARRANTY FAQ'S
When will I receive my knife back?

Turnaround time:
April thru August 4-6 weeks
September thru March 6-8 weeks

I say B.S.!!!!

I don't like this thing that some people do where they buy an old, busted-up knife on the cheap then send it to the manufacturer for free warranty service. It's immoral. I'm not calling OP a liar and saying that this happened here but it is directly adjacent to that scenario. This knife should've been sent back to the seller for a refund, as far as I am concerned.
