Sorry, but I only just now came across your query about C.T. Fischer.
A couple of months ago, I bought one of his 4" full-tang knives, in S30V steel. I've been using it hard and it's holding up very well. Before buying it, I asked who did the heat-treating, and he told me that Paul Bos did this knife. After using it for general bushcraft and seeing how well it holds an edge, I believe it.
The sheath surprised me favorably. The one that came with my knife is more impressive looking than the one Fischer shows on his website. In fact, this is the only knife I've ever bought that came with a completely satisfactory sheath.
